Not that it will likely do anything, but I am going to start reporting these guys as I see them for being poor representatives of the site until either a) they ban me or b) the admin tells them to stop. Anyone who takes the attitude that they are going to exercise their moderating privileges by writing garbage that other moderators will have to come afterwards and clean up, don't deserve the title.
Statements of "I am a mod, I will do what I want" prove that they do not have the attitude or aptitude to be responsible for anything, and that rightly it should be stripped.
We shall see which happens first![]()

Evidently the underage, clueless self-important "moderators" who are deliberately trolling and baiting posters in this forum have no clue at all that this was the EXACT kind of behavior that lead most of the members posting here to flee BBF and set up camp at SportsTwo. Deju Vu is right. I mean it's incredible that juvenile Laker "moderators" are once again deliberately trolling and baiting posters in the Blazer forum. One of them was even dumb enough to admit he was doing it on purpose, enjoyed it and planned to do it more often.
Well, as they say, those too stupid to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. They may think it's funny, but you certainly have to question both their intelligence and their motivation.
This forum is by FAR the only NBA team forum on SportsTwo that's worth a shit. All the other ones are irrelevant As I type this, there are 56 people viewing the Blazers forum. All 29 other NBA team forums on SportsTwo currently have a grand total of 10 combined viewers. That's right, the Blazers forum here is over 5 times more popular than all other team forums combined. So, is their motivation simple petty jealously that this forum is wildly popular while their own team's forum is a virtual ghost town? Or, are they actually dumb enough to think if they manage to destroy this forum they somehow "win"?
The site owners here are pretty laid back, but I have to wonder how they would feel if some of their moderators managed to destroy the one NBA team forum here that generates vastly more page views, and therefore, vastly more ad revenue, than all the other NBA team forums combined. Did they not learn anything from what happened at BBF? Did they really spend all the time, energy and money to set up this site and get it running, only to have a couple idiots they appointed as moderators chase away the members of the only NBA team forum here that's generating any revenue for them? If so, I have one thing to say: "The business model is broken".

Where is Denny Crane when you need him?
I'd say the forum belongs to us as members- the location may change, but the same core of posters forms the blazer board community. I'm just happy to be a minor member!
Why am I here? Because it's a public forum. Read that, PUBLIC FORUM. It's not cut off to only Blazer fans. I have just as much right to be in here as your or whoever the fuck else. Just because I'm a Lakers fan doesn't mean I don't have the right to step foot in a Blazers forum.
Why is it our responsibility to prop up the other dead forums here on S2. If a team forum can't achieve critical mass with posts from their own fans, why should I even want to visit such a virtual wasteland, let alone spend time posting there where no one will read it.
The reason there a so many OT posts here is because their are so many posters here. We get more off topic posts than the other team forums get on topic posts. Don't try to blame us for the lack of traffic in the other NBA team forums. I come here to converse with other Blazers fans about the Blazers. That's the only reason I'm here. I have no desire to waste my time in any of the other team forums. I don't go trolling there. I don't even go lurking there. There's nothing in it for me and I feel no responsibility what-so-ever to drum up activity in forums that are of ZERO interest to me.

Other forums are virtual wastelands b/c everything is being posted in one forum. If things were posted in the right forums, other people could go to other forums rather than just here. Also it's not trolling going to other forums, it's only trolling if you talk shit for no good reason. It's just ignorant to go on with this argument about going to other forums, because not all of you see that this is a sports site, not a Blazer site. There are always communities within sites, but the site is only great when all the communities come together to become one big forum.
But why is "lately" only 4 years? why not go back 5, and then you have the pacers as "prone to be suspended"?
But then you won't be able to talk shit about the lakers, right?
Btw, would you be kind enough to tell me where you got your data from?
You won't be banned.

I love the idea of S2 being more active with other teams, but the reality is that right now it's not. If there were 29 other communities like ours, I think that would be great. However, I don't think the solution is us posting all over the forums.
Ideally. Of course, was this the ideal moment for it? We have tensions running rather high between Blazers and Lakers fans, yesterday and today. Tomorrow, I can clean that thread up and re-open it, if another moderators doesn't do it first.
Today, I'm a little beat from having to deal with flare-ups.
Does anyone have educated worthwhile analysis on the Lakers behavior on drawing these types of fouls. I'm getting tired of the team bashing. Why can't the Lakers organization take in the fact that their players are being viewed by the NBA for their actions and being suspended. Use your brains peeps and stop bashing one another like HS teenagers. Use your noogin.

Because 80% of those participating in this site are fans of that one team.
Again why exactly do you think it's my duty (or the duty of any Blazers fan) to generate traffic in the other forums? I honestly don't care if there is ANY traffic in the other forums. And, if S2 dies because of it, I don't care.
The majority of the posters in the Blazers forum have migrated en mass from other sites on multiple occasions. If S2 isn't viable in the long run due to the lack if interest in the other team forums, we'll just move again. There is really nothing special about this particular site. It's just our latest home. The forum software is pretty much the same everywhere. What makes THIS forum special is the posters. Wherever they go, I go with them.

I wish we had 29 other team forums like this.
One at a time.
Some people don't have the vision of what a site that big would be like.
In the meantime, one team at a time.
Can you try to get the Nets forum back?
do you seriously think you come in here with no bias? you show up with a big sig of bynum and the same in your avitar and some people in here immediatly think troll because of some of the other laker mods. and i'm sorry but you take your bias where ever you go. if i go to the laker forum, even if i'm trying to be on my best behavior, i'm still going into with a blazer fan's slant. no way around that. what you are saying is like listening to a news channel telling you they are giving you the news with no bias, impossible.

my dad is a Laker fan.. made for some interesting times growing up lol.
I do come in here with no bias, so yes, I do seriously think that.
It's really ridiculous that you judge me based on my signature. I'm a Lakers fan and Bynum is one of my favorite players, so why not have him in my sig? But to judge me soley on that is asinine.
What if I were to change my sig to Greg Oden or Brandon Roy? Would I be more acceptable then? You should never judge a book by it's cover, and by judging me based on my sig, that's what you're doing.

I know... doesnt it make you feel dirty inside.I have a guy at work who is a Lakers fan. It's hard to admit, but I actually like the guy.
The idea is for the forum to be one big community, rather than individual groups, this isn't HS lol That's all I have left to say though.
And with March Madness approaching and Portland St. on the brink of making the tourney, make sure you visit our college forum! lol
I know... doesnt it make you feel dirty inside.
But we are a big community. In fact, we're bigger here than anywhere else on S2. If there were other communities our size, I'd love to mix with them.

I never said I wanted to "drum up traffic", I'm the guy that wants the site to have more activity all around rather than have people just stay in their forums making tons of OT threads. But obviously some people don't understand the point of a sports forum if you are just going to use it as a Blazer forum. W/e I'm done trying to get a point through if people don't want to listen.
