Is it happening again?

People going over there and saying 'you're classless' and making other pointless threads definitely wasn't a good move. I thought it was pretty retarded.

Special Needs *edited*. Special Needs.

I do come in here with no bias, so yes, I do seriously think that.

It's really ridiculous that you judge me based on my signature. I'm a Lakers fan and Bynum is one of my favorite players, so why not have him in my sig? But to judge me soley on that is asinine.

What if I were to change my sig to Greg Oden or Brandon Roy? Would I be more acceptable then? You should never judge a book by it's cover, and by judging me based on my sig, that's what you're doing.

please re-read that, i'm not judging you by your sig but some of the thin skinned posters do. and you can think you don't take your bias with you but after 4 years at one of the best broadcasting schools in the nation, i can tell you we all take our bias with us where ever we go.

and yes, if you changed it to oden you'd probably get a different reaction, at least to start.

Wow, imagine this. I certainly didn't see this coming as I was posting immediately after the game about some of the comments Laker fans were already making. ;)

See my sig for one made immediately after the game as one of this board's mods was busying insulting Blazer posters.

But, the fact you live in Iowa, yet you're a L*kers fan AND have Andrew "Sam Bowie" Bynum in your sig already broadcasts a ton about you...none of it good.

So now I'm being judged based on where I live, even better. I apologize that I live in a state with no professional teams to root for, so I have to look elsewhere for one, and it just so happens to be the Lakers.

And the Cowboys and Yankees. You sir are a frontrunner.

Well he does have a point. There are several times where he and DaRizzle have been chastised (and I use that term loosely) and called trolls for merely posting here. While JE and DaRizzle have certainly been involved in some scuffles I think when they start to get angry it is a defensive thing - while that doesn't help it is understandable. When you're misunderstood, your intentions called into question, and you're insulted it's hard to remain calm and you get snarky or downright mean back.

As a whole our forum is probably a little too defensive about outsiders coming in and discussing things Blazers related - often accusing them of being Blazer haters, homers of their teams, trolls, and various other things. While certainly not everyone does this (and maybe it seems more because as we all know a vocal negative minority often leads to speculation and assumption that an entire fanbase is like that) it certainly sends a message out that isn't entirely positive.

It is something that both sides have to work on - Blazer fans realizing that other fans coming in and trying to offer an objective view of things isn't bad and just leads to more discussion, and other fans coming in and being told off by some realizing that not all Blazer fans are like that (or ridiculous Blazer homers either) and ignoring those people and finding the people to engage in real conversation in.

Your thoughts are mine.

I often wince when I see the too quick trigger on the "get out of our forum, you are a troll" b.s. line. Really embarassing.

*tries to count how many times he has come in here with perfectly valid but not necessarily pro-blazer opinions, and been chased out by the troll-hounds*

Since you bring it up, I was just wondering....Is it lost on you that Blazers fans think Ariza is an asshole, and he's not successful? Just say'n, since you think the only reason some of us think KG's an asshole is because he's successful. Or, maybe you think that Ariza is also successful?

Inquiring minds want to know.

:ghoti:

Hardly a frontrunner. I was raised a Cowboys fan...been a fan since I was 4 years old. And the Yankees are the reason I became interested in baseball, along with the HR race between Sosa and McGwire. And to my credit, I remained a fan of all my teams, even when they were awful.

Why not the Bulls or the Wolves? I have a number of friends from Iowa, and they all picked the closest team to them. You're one of those glory franchise guys. I bet you love the 'Boyz and the Yankees too.

:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh: I can't believe it! I post what other teams he's a fan of, then I read down and this guy is SO true to form it's unreal!

Wow, so you're a Lakers, Yankees, and Cowboys fan? LOL. Are you a devil worshipper too? :devilwink:

The Yankees haven't ever been awful since the time you said you began liking them. ;) In fact, they've won a few championships and been to a few other World Series.

This is very true, they have won a few titles. They were pretty crappy last year though.

However, look at the Cowboys. I remain a fan even though they haven't won a playoff game for about a decade, haven't been to the Super Bowl since '96, and even endured some 5-11 and 6-10 seasons that were total garbage.

As for someoen who mentioned the Bulls and Wolves, I've always like the Bulls, but don't follow them nearly as closely as I used to. They're definitely my 2nd favorite team in the NBA. The Wolves though, I can't stand because they had KG as the face of that franchise for a loooonnnggggg time, and I've never been a fan of his.

By not as close as you used to, do you mean you stopped around when jordan retired, and they stopped winning?

Haha, not so much. What I implied was that I don't follow them as closely because I've become a much bigger Lakers fan since then. I still follow them and still love the Bulls, but I've become a more adament Laker fan over the years.

Well sure, they started winning more.

If you guys really want a bandwagon fan...meet my brother. He became a Red Sox fan soley because I was a Yankees fan, and his former team, the Indians, were terrible.

That's not the same. He started rooting for a team to root against you. You started rooting for teams because they win.

Let me guess, big Tebow fan?

Haha, nah, definitely not a devil worshipper, but lets not get started on religion.

Cowboy fandom IS a religion! (not that there is anything wrong with that)

OTOH, Yankee fans have been known to sacrifice virgins to Cthulhu. Luckily, they have a ready supply over at Shea stadium. :drumroll:

Hmm. Is that the source of Jeter's mystical clutch powers? I always thought it was the "calm eyes."

Can you try to get the Nets forum back?

Wow I hope so one day; get to work admins. Our staff usually does a very solid job of moderating (even Lost One and Mamba) but we all make mistakes, administrator and below.

This is a terrific site. It loads quickly and the setup is easy. I'd love it if there were other communities as large as ours.

LMAO!!! I HATE Tebow with an absolute passion.

I don't even have an opinion on this Ariza thing. I still haven't looked at the footage, I don't know for sure what happened, and I don't really care.
