Magliore was Krstic/Williams insurance and i'm still not mad at the signing even though this was beyond predictable. I really was even hoping in alot of ways i'd be proved wrong, especially when he showed up to camp in decent shape, but that's Big Cat and he will in all likliness he'll join a long list of NBA players who call the Nets their last stop of their career.

its a shame. dudes not even 30 yet yet he plays slower then Cliffy

Ditto this.

I still don't think the thinking behind the signing was bad. It's still a better plan than having to start a guy like John Thomas in a playoff game. His contract is a little high, but he's a big man and those prices are always inflated. Even so, it didn't really put the Nets in a big hole.

Basically, my take was that if Williams and Boone didn't beat him out, the Nets would be in trouble.

And Boone still hasn't. That's pathetic.

i don't know why but i'd like to trade josh boone who hardly plays anyway for saer sene...at least sene can shoot it at 8 ft while boone would still come up with an airball at that distance...i'd like to see what jkidd can do with an athletic 7-fter...also the guy can block a shot just by standing up raising his arms...though he would be hopelessly lost with frank's plays where each onehas25 variants which often lead to isos anyway and the annual change in offensive philosophy...and then frank wonders why the offense is so bad.
