I think so. The biggest difference between these two coaches and some of the others is they didn't get personally attached to players the way, Mo Cheeks, Nate, or Kaleb did. The game came before anything else.

Mediocre Man is a better coach than Canales. Cheeks handled the "JailBlazers" (as you called them) horribly.

Other than that I think the actual OP has merit. Stotts is certainly our best coach since Dunleavy, and perhaps better.

I think I agree. I'll hold off on anointing Stotts better than Dunleavy until Stotts has more success. Different era and different approach. I think I like Stotts better. He certainly gets along with the players better. Then again these players are easier to get along with. Both were a good match with their rosters. That's gotta help.

Canales is a great assistant coach and a really nice guy. He's not on Stott's level in my opinion. If he was, he'd have a head coaching gig right now.
