that you would stop cheering for the Blazers? Birdman? KG? Kobe?

If any of those guys were Blazers people would eat it up.

Bingo. The very thought makes me shudder.

(And yes, even if he were to "lead" the Blazers to a championship, it would not alter my feelings. I have the Pistons or the Clippers as my backup plan were that scenario ever to play out.)

I'd love to have all three of those guys, in their primes, on the Blazers. Wow, what a great team!

And no, there isn't. ;)

Two, actually. Ricky Davis and Bonzi Wells. All others that I hate on other teams (BIRDMAN) I would probably love on the Blazers.

EDIT: I misunderstood the question. Stop cheering for the Blazers all together? None. Never cheer for a player ON the Blazers? Two.

If the anal rapist became a Blazer, I would not be a Blazers fan in any sense of the word. I would actively campaign for their demise.

i dont hate any player more than i love the blazers.

Iverson would be my least-favorite addition (and has been that way for a while)... but I'd still root for the team irrespective of any player or players on the team.

Ed O.

I'm mainly only opposed to adding players with no talent. If this team went back to the bad old days of Telfair, Monia, Ha et al. I'd lose a lot of enthusiasm. I'd still watch, but I'd probably have a lot fewer reasons/opportunities to cheer.

I would have trouble with Kobe, especially since he stopped us from winning it in 2000 but then again, Pip stopped us in 1992 and I embraced him when he came over.

If Shawn Kemp couldn't do it I don't think anybody can.

In not so crude a way, I would never want to see Kobe. He raped that girl and then intimidated and bought his way out of prison- only because he could. He's a disgusting human being.

I'll always cheer for the Blazers.

But I would hate it if Kobe joined the team.

The name on the front of the uniform is more important than the name on the back.

In other words - no.

I'll never stop cheering for the Blazers, but Kobe would make if really difficult to watch the team. I'd be totally fine with KG being a Blazer.

When the Blazers signed Patterson I did not go to a game for 2 years, I cancelled my charter subscription to Rip City and resigned from the official forum.

If they sign Kobe Bryant, it won't be 2 years, it will be forever.

The other guys, they are not really bad people, just jerky and guess what a lot of athletes are jerky. It's like Laimbeer or Mahorn in the old days, you hate them when they are not on your team. But Bryant is in a class of infamy by himself.

Fortunately, he would never come to Portland - except to lose at the Rose Garden.

I have never had any problem hating a particular player on the Blazers while still rooting for the team as a whole.

For example: Ruben Patterson, and Darius Miles.

However, Ricky Davis would be a difficult pill to swallow. JJ Berea would be tough to root for.

I don't get the hate for Kobe ... on the other hand, his legion of boot licking fans that would inevitably take over the RG? Yikes, now that is a scary proposition.

You mean the throngs of teenage girls that must be following the lakers around? I mean, when you watch one of their away games, every time Kobe (or, to a lesser degree, any laker) scores, it sounds like an Nsync concert, circa 2001.

I don't get the hate for Kobe

1. Rapist
2. Asshole
3. Cocky beyond cocky.
4. Pushing Scottie Pippen off on a drive, hitting a jumper, then standing over Pippen screaming "GET UP, BITCH!"
5. He's a lifetime Laker.
6. Did I mention Rapist?

Maybe they want to be raped and paid off under the table, too.

Ummm...explanation please? Do you have something against short, speedy Mexicans or something?

after having my heart torn out I believe 11,345 times by Kobe, I developed a healthy respect for him. Oh and I matured a little from ages 19-22 but before that I was totally in the same boat as others here. But I gotta respect the dude's skills. He is oooooooone bad Mamba. Oh and Lebron and KG being total douches sure have helped my transition to not hating Kobe ;)
