dviss..I think you're comparing hate unfairly. Yes, there are still a lot of folks carrying hatred and fear around and there are white racists, actually racists of many ethnic backgrounds. America has become a melting pot. As for the Irish, my forefathers hated each other for religious differences. My grandmother was Lakota Sioux. She preferred to just be called American. You know history and it's ugly. We all know this. There are a lot of Irish cops here. A lot of people hate cops, so they hate white irish cops as well as any other cops. My lessons to my children have been to integrate and respect people. My father was a racist, I am not, my children are not. Mags is not a racist, he's just got bad taste in politicians.

Based on FBI stats from 2013 there were 6 official "hate crime" (anti-white) rapes. There were zero anti-black, one anti-asian and appears to be zero everyone else.

I don't know if Pat Buchanan is a racist. My problem was the stats themselves and how they were collected. JFizz is an accountant, he's probably taken more statistic classes then I have. I took one and that was just enough to realize you can not draw the conclusions that Mr Buchanan did.

It's not mandatory for police departments to compile these stats and in some departments it's going to be police officer compiles them, in others a clerk, maybe in others an intern.

Where did the stats listed come from? They could be from only one department. One state. One precinct.

Also, and the biggest problem with this stat, it requires some sort of an admission from the perpetrator. A robbery is a robbery is a robbery. A robbery of a white is a robbery of a white. A robbery of a black person is a robbery of a black person. How do you classify hate rape vs rape? Do you ask the victim? "Were you hate raped or was it a regular rape?" Do you ask the criminal? "Did you rape her or did you hate rape her?" Remember now, if they admit to hate rape there will be additional charges and additional time in jail. Even in the cases where they might be some evidence or admissions of hate rape, in our plea bargain legal system hate crime & rape would be plead down to rape.

The hate rape stats in that FBI report are worthless. That's why you only see people with agendas or narratives use them. (Not saying you have an agenda, Jfizz. I'm saying that Mr Buchanan and Shelly do.)

The statistics are complicated to collect and understand, unfortunately.

Crimes have to be reported or the government uses some formula to derive some "truer" numbers for the data. And then, the data says to Pat Buchanan something a lot different than they say to me (or anyone with an ounce of Reason).

There's the underlying causes of the data as well. For example, a % of crime committed by black people might be arrived at because the police look the other way when white people commit the same crimes as minorities. Or a confluence of factors that include the arrest of black males (no father figures), high unemployment for black people, education funds diverted from inner city schools, and lack of mobility make people desperate to make a living.

I'm not buying some cop white crime conspiracy. Sometimes it's something simple as when you ask the question or who you are asking.

Suppose you wanted to do research on what scares 6 year old children. You could send someone to ask 1000 6yr old what scares them. Then you send someone to ask 1000 adults what scared them when they were 6yrs old. You would have two entirely different sets of data. The 6yr old one would be all over the map, dogs, other kids, elmo, monsters, just random shit. The adult data would be more consistent but filled with generalities. Which is more accurate? Do you combine both data sets? What if you were to ask parents of 6yr olds what scares their children? Again, you would have completely different answers then the first two data sets.

This is the same as many crime stats. Do you ask the victim? The criminal? The arresting officer? Go by what the perpetrator was charged with? Or go by the crimes they were ultimately convicted of? Again, you would have different sets of data. All in some ways would be right. If the collection of data is flawed or not uniform the data reported is not accurate.
