Darius Morris certainly sounds VERY similar to Dre, and if mocks are accurate, looks like he'll easily be available for us. Certainly intriguing in this weak draft.

Still really want Knight, but if PA can buy a few picks, maybe we can get this guy on the super cheap and use our assets elsewhere? Sounds more promising long-term than Armon or Patty or overpaying for a free agent...

Wow I love the write up on him. Unfortunately I haven't paid too much attention to NCAA this year. I actually did something stupid and just thought draft was us using those picks to pick up another player. So I got lazy and really have no intelligent opinion on any player coming into the draft. But reading the write-up; I would love to have a "win-first" PG.

I'm the same way. College Basketball really isn't that enjoyable to follow, so I just don't.

If Morris is as good as NBAdraft.net says he is, I'd love for us to take a chance on him w/ a late 1st...

I will say he does sound intriguing but it sounds like his brother wrote it

I watched Michigan play a couple of times this year ... I can't say this Morris kid really jumped off the screen at me though. Maybe he's a player, but man does this draft class feel a whole lot like the 2006 crop -- very blah with maybe a few gems buried in the dung heap.

Sometimes there is a player out of no where that actually becomes something special. 2006 draft class that became great players? LMA, Roy, Gay, J. J. Redick, Thabo, Brewer?

LMA and Roy didn't come out of nowhere. And the others you listed are merely role-players, except Gay who's nothing special (and was probably the most hyped prospect in the draft). I'd say Rondo is the guy who came out of nowhere from that draft to become something special.

No I am replying to Nickolous's comment of a Blah draft class of 06. There have been some very special players coming out of that draft. Also, there have been some busts that were supposed to be something special too.

I would say there were three players (if we count Roy despite the injury)....Roy, Aldridge, Rondo. The rest of that draft was pretty terrible...IMO, three very good players is a weak draft.

Bargnani
Milsap
Gay
Lowry

I think those guys would be considered good players by most....still, I am grasping. It was a bad draft

Maybe I'm wrong but I see one really good player (LMA), one great player whose knees were redflagged by a lot of teams (Roy), and some OK players. That doesn't make those players great or special and it certainly doesn't change my opinion that it was a very "blah" draft, especially when you compare it to some of the other recent drafts.

100% agree that it wasn't the greatest draft. I'm just saying sometimes you can find a truly high quality player in any draft.

Weird. I'm a pretty big follower of college hoops. The few times I watched the Wolverines play, I never really came away saying that Darius Morris was an NBA talent.

Which was exacty my point above. Maybe there is a diamond in the rough/hidden superstar in this year's draft, but I don't think I'm going out on much of limb to say it aint this guy.
