I don't know about better than Nurk and I don't know about playing them together on the court at the same time but imagine how demoralizing for the other team it would be to have either one of those two coming off the bench. What a nightmare for the others team's backup center.

Oh and one advantage of Whiteside is that because he blocks more shots, more consistently it seems like we run more as a team as a result. This team needs more easy buckets like that. Guess I would need to see the stats on that but it sure feels that way.

Two types of centers Whiteside goes get every rebound while Nurk will block out while other gets the rebounds don't get me wrong he gets his share too. Whiteside better shot blocker due he much longer then Nurk. But Nurk has better feet then Whiteside so he better defender one on one and Nurk has quick hands where gets steals.

We should look to resign Whiteside. If we can get him for around $12 million a season, or on a short term deal, he would be great starter/backup duo with Nurk.

If another team offers him $20+ million in free agency let him walk. However there was little trade interest in him, lots of questions of his empty stats, and concern of his attitude. He is over 30 with a game based on athleticism. Center is an easy position to fill. It's very possible no other teams offer him huge dollars.

I'd be happy to have him for a few seasons. But his negatives are legit as well. So if the cost is high I'm fine letting another team take that gamble.
