In an article in The Athletic today, Jason Quick said, in passing, that Collins is out for the year. Is that true? I had not heard such an announcement.

Check the Zach Collins Injury Thread.....all the info is in there.

Or you could tell me. Or at least provide a link to the thread.

I just searched 'collins injury' and found no thread.

I think it’s the same 4-5 month recovery period as the first surgery, so sometime in May would be the earliest. I guess he could theoretically rejoin the team for the playoffs, but I’m not optimistic. It seems like with it being a contract year for him, making sure he’s healthy over the summer would be the smartest plan.

Nurk sneezes and these people make 7 separate threads about it.....and you are telling me there is no Collins injury thread?

Of course there is. All you have to do is scroll down to the bottom of the page and it’s listed right there in similar threads. But who wants to read 4 pages of drivel to try to find the answer?

We don't start threads whenever somebody has an idea pop in their head. This place would be even more of a disaster than it already is if the behavior was accepted. Learn the forum rules rookie, THEN post!

My crew is bringing the heat tonight!!!!!!

I bumped the other threads.
That way the conversation might make sense?

to get back to the question: it really looks like he'll miss the season. The need for a 2nd surgery suggests there's some structural issues, and that's a concerning part of the body for structural issues

In KSs defense, once you do find the thread discussing Collins' injury, its not exactly easy to come up with the answer. That thread is all over the place and nothing is current.

So you go to the thread and ask the question. There is no shame in asking this board questions. They are very well informed and the network is top notch.

I guess not everyone sees the difference. Bumping an old thread up or starting a new one.

Zach is trash. Only thing im asking is next season he is gone. Most injury prone player in history. And when healthy he was terrible in bubble

Too many to pick from if you have been paying attention. Wouldn't be Zach though.

If he was out for the season the blazers could file injury exception to replace him on the roster and that hasn't tooken place yet so until that's happens you can consider him coming back this year.

I don't know if a disabled player exception counts against the cap (and tax). If it does, that could explain why it hasn't been used. Another factor is that a DPE for Zach maxes out at 2.7M, so that's not really much more than a veteran minimum deal

I don't think you can read any tea leaves about Zach from the DPE

If used, the DPE DOES count against the cap & tax. If not used, it has no impact.
