ToB, where and when to meet to settle our bet?

I'm shocked it was this easy for Obama, fwiw. Unemployment now will jump up to near 9% again after the first of the year.

Romney really wasn't a strong candidate anyway. It's also hard to unseat an incumbent.

How will you send the pictures of you and Brainiac to me?

Fuck off, SlyPokerDog!

Wrong about $2 gas, wrong about the next President, I'm guessing you're wrong about the unemployment rate also.

I knew this outcome months and months ago. Romney never had a chance, and here's what it boils down to (and what the GOP can't seem to grasp):

Obama is likeable.

Romney is not.

That's all it was. It had nothing to do with policy or government experience or anything that actually matters. Obama is likeable and he knows how to play the game, Romney is not likeable and he couldn't keep his mouth shut. Obama did such a bad job, they could have put anyone in his place and won if they were likeable. This idiot came out and had to hit on all the things that people don't like about Republicans. Gay marriage? Check. Abortion? Check. I don't know what happened to the GOP, but they need a reboot. These super right wing fundies are killing that party.

Romney acts facetious and condescending everytime he opens his trap.

The guy just looks like a snake oil salesman.

Weak candidate.

Next.

Obama is more personable and that resonates with women. To a small degree, the presidential election can be a beauty contest.

I think it's entirely a popularity contest.

I knew the GOP was screwed as soon as they nominated Mitt... but here's the thing..... none of the other candidates were any good either. That party needs to completely rethink its direction. I want nothing to do with it anymore. If there was a halfway decent third party, I'd go that route.... but there isn't. This election was all about a decision between a sleezeball and a dufus.

Women vote for the party that looks out for their best interests. Unless they're from the South, then they either are afraid they're going to hell, or they'll get a black eye from their husband if they don't vote Republican.

given your track record about the election (gas will be under 3 dollars, Romney would win), I would hope you'd keep quiet about making outlandish predictions.

damn, I'm totally behind the times on that one. ignore my previous post! ;)

This loss is not a reflection of Romney, but one of the sad state of the United States and its citizens. From creators into consumers.

Never have I been less confident in the general population of the US. We are going to be a zombie nation.

No dude. This is entirely on Romney and the GOP. They could have won this thing if they had picked a candidate with his head on straight. Instead they picked a Mormon who had to come off as a smug, rich, bigoted piece of shit. People didn't vote for him because they didn't like him as a person. It's that simple. I didn't vote for him. My fiancee didn't vote for him. We're not democrats. He's one of the sleeziest candidates I've ever seen.

Here's an analogy that I think describes what just happened:

So you're watching The Voice, and they're in the battle rounds between two contestants. One of the singers is clearly better than the other, but they choose a song that they definitely cannot pull off. When it comes time to choose, the judge picks the other singer because the better singer chose a terrible fucking song. Mitt Romney is that terrible fucking song.

No, sorry, you're wrong.

America is now nose diving into oblivion!

Serfdom!

other stupid poor sport comments!

(btw, good on you Nate, for not being a sheep)

Romney was held back pandering to idiots and your average american who will eat up any shiny graph, internet meme or other popular catch phrase people hear on an evening talk show. That's what our country has essentially been reduced to. We no longer vote based on what we feel will bring this country into the forefront, we vote based on what the other guy tells us. The american public are mindless sheep.

Romney totally has his head on straight. He would have done a decent job as President. Just a lot of wasted time pandering to people he shouldn't be pandering to.

You're a 30-ish college student. Sorry, but many of us actually were years into the workforce as taxpayers at that point. Many of us are parents.

I respect what julius has to say over your stupid posts, and that's not saying much.

We will continue on this course until we run out of money. It's no different than a junkie. We have to hit rock bottom.

Yup, time to drop the Tea Party. A black eye on the Republican party.
