Politics It Might Soon Be Legal for Employers to Force You Into a Genetic Test

your employer wants you to get a genetic test.

Well, employers have been requiring people to pass a physical exam for years now. But to take screening to this level, to select out the cream of the no risk prospects from the population
will require the pool of candidates to be really large. So only a few will pass the test for employment which means the population will need to be much larger than can be employed.
Self insured employers like most large corporations do not "buy" insurance and are not interested in charging varying prices for employee health insurance. But they might use this tactic to
screen potential employee, but only if more are available than they need.

How many people can our Nation support? How much can we grow before we need to begin to stop growth?

Does this mean you finally wised up about Trump and have rehabilitated yourself?????

Ha! No, I was thinking more of the fucking mess we have for a health care system right now. The results of the last piper you all blessed.

unless you didn't vote for him in the first place...

Same as with Obamacare, Congress make the decisions on your healthcare, not the President.

Oregon voted to keep the same tired old swamprats that created Obamacare and drove healthcare prices through the stratosphere, and they will do their best to crush anything that decreases profits for their campaign donors, so you have nothing to worry about.

Say your employer wants you to get a genetic test. You politely decline because you consider it a gross infringement of privacy. Well, too bad—your monthly health insurance payments just spiked 30%.

This could be the reality under HR 1313, the Preserving Employee Wellness Programs Act, a House GOP-sponsored bill that would essentially allow companies with workplace wellness programs to demand your genetic information (or force you to pay a big penalty).

The legislation has now passed a House committee on a straight party line vote, reports STAT News, with all 22 Republicans unified in support against 17 Democratic detractors. The bill is expected to be latched on to a second Obamacare-related legislative effort that will be a followup to the main GOP health care plan now working its way through Congress.

As my employer I consulted my employer and my employer insists I have no interest in forcing myself to turn over any genetic information to myself at any time.

Real Americans don't work for slave-owners.
