cool to see... still doesnt matter now. Chip Kelly has burned in my brain the WTD mantra![]()
What The Duck? Waiting To Die? Win Tomorrow, Damnit? Why Take Drugs?

They won't be the #1 in the BCS and that's all that matters. Still work to do. Get past USC though and I really like the Ducks' chances to run the table. Oregon State doesn't scare me at all.
Actually, you've got it somewhat backwards. I understand what you're trying to say, but read that back and think again about what you just said.
The BCS isn't really what matters right now because the BCS isn't even used until the regular season is over, so as of right now in October, it is 100% meaningless. Oregon could be ranked 5th in the BCS right now, but it wouldn't mean anything because Oregon has the toughest strength-of-schedule of the teams that will (or could) still go undefeated over the reamining weeks (which is what the computers use). And they are #1 in the polls and can't move down even with 1 point victories for the remaining games.
So this all means that no matter what the BCS says tomorrow, Oregon would mathematically HAVE to be #1 due to the nature of the way the BCS works, so long as Oregon gets a win by at least one point over their final six games. I doubt that will happen, but the point is the last thing Duck fans need to be worried about is their BCS ranking six weeks before they mean anything since the computer rankings that account for 33% of those pts will destroy BSU and TCU here over the next six weeks and drop them completely out the top 5. That said, either Oregon or Oklahoma is projected to be #1 by every onine site I see, so they're definitely up there on top somewhere.
But anyway you're second part is the big statement. Get past USC and OSU first and take care of business, the BCS has no choice but to follow.
I hate saying this, but I've had this terrible feeling about the Bruins game (suspensions? not sure).
I hope I'm wrong, though.
Cal will give the Ducks trouble as well.
What makes you think this? Cal sucks this year. They're brutal.

I don't want to offend you, but I feel like most Duck fans just don't know much about college football.

And Beaver fans do? I spent a lot of time in Corvallis when most of my buddies were in College and I can tell you right now that your generalization about Ducks fans is pretty ridiculous. I can make some pretty big generalizations about Beaver alumni as well.![]()
Cal's schedule to date...
Sat, Sept 4 vsUC Davis W52-3 1-0 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 11 vsColorado W52-7 2-0 (0-0)
Fri, Sept 17 @Nevada L52-31 2-1 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 25 @#14 Arizona L10-9 2-2 (0-1)
Sat, Oct 9 vsUCLA W35-7 3-2 (1-1)
Sat, Oct 16 @USC L48-14 3-3 (1-2)
They got beat down at USC and Nevada and lost a tight one at Arizona. They clobbered the other 3 teams they've played in Berkeley. They're actually a pretty decent team and they usually play the Ducks well at Cal.
I don't think we have as many bandwagon fans as the Ducks. That's what happens when you're suddenly perceived as a national power as the Ducks are. People come out of the woodwork to be Duck fans. They generally know very little about the sport, but these people are down with it because it's the in thing to do.
Lol they haven't won a game against a team with a winning record. Yet, you think they are pretty decent team. Then the next post you bash Ducks fans about not being knowledgeable about the game? Irony at its finest.
