I was surprised Oregon gas prices were almost as high as California. Most of the country pays a dollar per gallon less

We've adopted most of California's gas taxes, And we have no refineries. It's almost all from the Puget Sound.

I remember the first time years ago my wife took me to Winco, I couldn't believe how aggressive ladies and their carts were navigating the isles, like they were going to miss out on something, I just shook my head and told my wife Im staying home next time.
