I remember the first time years ago my wife took me to Winco, I couldn't believe how aggressive ladies and their carts were navigating the isles, like they were going to miss out on something, I just shook my head and told my wife Im staying home next time. Then we get to the check out and discovered we had to bag our own groceries, haven't been back since.

I love being able to bag my own groceries, you don't get some kid putting the Wonder bread at the bottom of the bag under the 10 lb can of lard.
What I don't love about Winco is them not accepting credit cards. I don't carry cash anymore.

You can use your debit card if you don't have cash.

Prices are soooooo much lower at Winco.

why do you buy 10 lb cans of lard?

Down in Texas for the last week. Gas was on average $2.87/gallon. Are we still blaming the liberals, just asking.

Nobody answers my question. Do we blame the president for these low gas prices?

They aren't low. They are low relative to what was the prices were most of the year.

You just got used to higher prices, so what is the price now seems low.

The president has very little control over gas prices. Unless he outlaws fuel exports, which is fully in his power. But he hasn't done that (somewhat surprisingly).

If he banned exports gas prices would likely be much lower for us and much higher for everyone else.

No fuck! WHich is why I was mocking the asshats who have been blaming Biden for our high gas prices for the past 18 months. Gas in NE is cheap as fuck!

How much is "cheap as fuck"?

Looks like Oregon's average is still around $3.70 a gallon. LA is $4.30.

Nationwide is $3.09.

When Biden took office it was $2.39.

And here I thought the multiple self-checkout stations in the space previously occupied by two checkout lines was a good thing allowing me to get out of the store quicker. I guess I just failed to see the injustice they represent.

I understand the point they were making (there are times when I get frustrated about stupid things), but good lord, it takes what, 2 seconds out of your day to get out your receipt?

And in all the times I've used self check out, I can count on zero fingers how many times I've been asked to show a receipt.

Plus, does this twerp not ever go to costco?

Bro gas was over $6 in Portland and everybody was freaking out blaming the liberals. It’s now $3.25 in my hood. Are we still blaming liberals is all I’m asking.
As far as nationwide, west coast always has the most expensive gas.

And that's Bidens doing, how?

Just stating facts. Not blaming anyone.

Although Biden's and the lib's war on fossil fuels and gas and carbon credits probably did have an impact on gas prices. Green new dealz!

You have confirmation bias because gas was $6, so now $3.25 seems "cheap as fuck" when it was higher than before.

And obviously your confirmation bias runs equally strongly in the opposite direction.

Heck, I can remember when gas was $0.30. So I guess we should measure against that?

Oh yeah, he was definitely showing his Karen side on the receipt issue.

Understood. I feel like explaining it when it comes up can be helpful.

How many gallons is equivalent to a fuck? Asking for a friend...

I use self checkout any time possible. This is a huge benefit IMO.

The only time I want somebody bagging my groceries or ringing me up is if I'm doing curbside pickup or home delivery.

This is a good point. The price of a fuck has gone up considerably over the years (especially if you want a high quality fuck). And unlike the price of gasoline, and unlike the fuckee, the price of a fuck almost never goes down.
