It's time for CJ McCollum to go.

Here's some names I pulled out by sorting for win shares and PER, intuition, etc etc , that could headline a CJ deal similar to what LAC got for Blake.

OG Anunoby, Luke Kennard, Jeremy Lamb (bleh), Myles Turner, Will Barton, Harrison Barnes, Jonathan Isaac (my absolutely favorite, but longshot).

Any of these names interest you guys? I love the idea of Isaac, or even Turner who Indy prolly wants to get rid of. OG has been a target of mine since his draft.

Who is the Tobias equivalent that CJ could help bring in? He was putting up 18/5/2 and only 25 yrs old in DET before getting traded.

It was Harris/Bradley/future first (#12, Miles Bridges). That is unbelievable value for Blake, even if he made All NBA the year after.

Aaron Gordon.

Not gonna let this go as Gordon has a declining contract and they would have to add another piece to make the deal work. DJA is expiring and could give us some backup PG relief. Hell, they could add Aminu who is already out of the rotation but would integrate well back here.

Can you imagine CJ under Nick Nurse if we traded him to Toronto? LOL, Nurse would either murder him or turn him into an all-NBA player.

By the way @illmatic99, weren't you the one who pooped all over my CJ trade scenarios to each team last year? I think just about every guy on your list was a guy I mentioned, except I can't stand Barton's game. Plus a lot of those moves would've led to having cap space last summer to add/keep more talent this past off season.

Aaron Gordon sucks.

Yes. Things change. Desperate times. That damn contract extension has me perceiving that CJ's value is actually lower now than last year.

New York Knick & target Mitchell Robinson.

Get Morris & Ntikkilti as a bonus

I kinda like Bogdan Bogdanovic (The Kings' one). He's stuck on the bench too. Him + something interesting I might like

Boban went from DET to LAC.

Clips included Willie Reed and Brice Johnson (Skal equivalent maybe).
My bad.

Shows how much Blake was really worth. No way we could get a Boban for CJ.

Lol you really want credit for that of all things? Alright then. Props!
LOL, no, but it's a bit disingenuous to people who have been on here recognizing problems before they happen to just dismiss them because you didn't feel that way.

Taking this shit way too seriously

Yeah now that we let good players like Hark, Curry, Aminu, Leonard, Kantor go and replaced them with garbage, it’s time to rinse and repeat with one of our few remaining good players.

CJ seems to have lost some lift. Anyone else notice that? He is getting blocked at the rim more and also in the short jumpers. Maybe it is losing his off arm for offensive fouls, but the extra lift/speed Dame uses to get to the rim and get jumpers off doesn't seem to be there for CJ--who is slightly taller.

Not only are we not getting rid of CJ, we're doubling down and bringing in the ultimate ball hog Senpai for him.

He doesn't run plays very often. The whole offensive system is predicated on freedom and read and react. It's CJ's fault for shooting every time he gets the damn ball in his hands.

you know who else didn’t run plays often? Phil Jackson. You know who else was criticized for “shooting every time”? Kobe.

that's what has pissed me off. It's been pretty widely reported that CJ was untouchable when Butler, Paul George and Kawhi were available. It's a terrible overrating of Cj's limited talent and value.

but as Blazer fans, we're stuck with it as long as Olshey is the GM, IMO. Stuck with CJ hogging 26% of the possessions; stuck with him chucking 20 shots a game; stuck with him hogging 25% of the salary cap. Stuck with him being an inadequate 2nd option for a contender. Stuck with him burning thru shot clock with fancy dribbling, obnoxious dribbling; and stuck with his mediocre efficiency. As longs as he's the #2 option in the offense and on the cap, Portland is a pretender

You honestly believe Olshey wouldn’t have traded CJ for Kawai...? Sounds like a strawman argument.

We are far better off with CJ than Butler. Olshey knows the value of culture, personality, and chemistry. there’s a reason Olshey, Dame, and Stotts are all very high on CJ. He is an elite scorer, an adept passer, and an excellent teammate.

everyone wants to blame CJ because the blazers are a small market team that can never attract the free agents necessary to contend. The irony of blaming one of the only players who is willing to play with passion for your city is lost on all of you.

CJ will be fine and he's not getting traded in my view...people don't say much about it but CJs defensive effort is much better this season...maybe because he wasn't hitting shots but he's playing that side of the ball better than he has in the past

If CJ was as good as Kobe I'm sure way more people would be ok with him shooting everytime. But CJ is not even an all star let alone an MVP and perennial 1st team all NBA. Dumb take
