that this is going to be one of the quietest trade dead lines in many many years. And won't involve any big names being moved.

I could be wrong, though that in itself would be a rarity.

I don't know rick - I think you may see the Phillies move Lee and Papelbon, the Giants trade Pence, the Twins deal Morneau, the Angels trade Kendrick, etc. I would love to add the Yankee trade Hughes, but I don't see that happening

I thought Kendrick was with Seattle & the only place I want to see him go is to the Yankees.

I have a feeling it will be active but not for the yankees and I hope I am wrong. I think they need to make a move or two if they want to have any chance of making the playoffs.

I have been listening to MLB on TV waiting for the Bachelorette to come on (NOT!) and hearing Hart, Rosenthal, and the gang I have really come to the conclusion that the point about the second playoff team, and how in theory so many teams still alive, leads me to believe that it will be very quite. Now, with that said, I can't remember the last time I was right in regards to what this organization is or will do. The other part is that there isn't much talent available, Cliff Lee for 3 top prospects and assume 70 million in contract, is he worth that now?

If that is indeed the case, why the hell did they get Soriano?

i really wanted to be wrong about the lack of movement at this trade dead line. But now its beginning to look like Soriano is it.

you appear to be right, but I will ask again... why the hell did they get Soriano?

I thought Soriano was just going to be the first piece of the puzzle and they would add a couple of more pieces. There is still time but I am growing less confident that something will happen by the minute.

C'mon Cashman get off your ass. I want to be wrong.

The two WC, it was expected this would be a negative result, too many teams still in it.

I wonder how Girardi feels about his organization giving him zero support. He must feel like he is back with the Marlins.
