WOW...we won a SO with Cam. Shocked. Post and poke check. 2 goals for us as well. Good stuff.

Lose an ROW, but we have a lead on all the teams in our division anyway, so that is not crushing.
 
Scoring & giving up 3 or more goals a game is not the way to prep
for the playoffs.

Everybody off the ledge..yes 94 we know he's not Lundqvist.
 
Columbus is a better team then their record with the injuries they had. Give them credit for working hard after being down three
 
Two points out of first with three games in hand. This is getting interesting.
 
Like I said, every point we get with Cam in goal is a good point. So getting 2 points tonight is a plus. Now we move on.

I have zero confidence in Cam, but win and move on...
 
Again chuck, you can get on backup goalie all you want but the fact is you can't deny that they played like complete garbage since they scored the third goal.
 
Nothing do with a ledge sc, you don't see me going off on the team or saying the sky is falling. All we are doing is calling out the facts, Cam has not played well and is not a starter.

3 more goals allowed. .900 sv% tonight, that is a milestone for him.

Show me where I compared him to Hank. I'm comparing him to other BACKUP goalies. He's not there. He's mediocre in that role and he's a fill in starter right now which means he needs to be upping his game, which he just can't seem to do. Either that, or this is his elevated game.
 
First place and first in the conference is in sight. This team is pretty damn good.
 
We got it Step. We are all crazy for getting on our starting goalie. You are dead on blaming everyone but him. We got it buddy. All good.

He's not 94? Did you not watch him last year and this year as a backup? Looks like they're doing well withou HL in terms of points. Does he let in some duds yeah, but he also has kept them in some of these.
 
You saw tonight why they dealt Dubinsky. He runs around hitting people but he can't play offense and hit at the same time. When he hits, his offensive game is incompetent. Offensively, he just has no clue too many games. I thought Anisimov was really good. He's a guy I would like to add as I said before.
 
If he plays well sc we'll get behind him. I do think he is a very solid backup goalie. In the right spots he is good, and that is how a backup plays. So I think he is a solid backup.

The missing part in here is we are judging Cam as a starter now not a backup. That is what gets missed.

Anyway, I am over it again. Another soft goal, but we won. We control the TB anyway, so no harm. Every point we get is a good point. Happy with that.

Keep winning games. We have a decent shot at 1st now if we win the games we are supposed to win this week. Every game off the schedule is a game closer to Hank returning. Best way to look at it.
 
Nobody is saying he's a starter Chuck but 94 is saying he's not even a good backup which is crazy. Had a better gaa than Lundqvist last year.
 
They dealt dubi because they had a chance to get player like Nash otherwise this tool Dubi would still be here.
 
7-1-2 since Hank went down with the injury. That's certainly much better than I expected. I mean how can you ask for more than 16 out of 20 points?
 
chuck, why do you keep judging Cam as a starter? Hank comes back and cam goes back where he belongs. Nobody will give him a job as starter. I don't know what pipe Cam is smoking if he wants to be a starter some day.
 
For sure Mess. It is weird because Cam has not played well, and honestly as a team we have been very up and down, but we are winning, and that is obviously the most important thing.

Sure we have played some lesser teams, but we beat Boston, we beat the Isles, we beat CBJ (who has won some tough games), we won at Colorado (who are decent).

So overall we are winning, and that is the key.
 
Because he is our starter now. He will be starting another 10 games +/-. He signed for one season only because he wants to be a starter. But if you want me to judge him as a backup, sure I do think he is a solid backup when played in the right spots.
 
Well Calgary and Philly coming up before a tough set of games to start March. Going to be an interesting last quarter of the season.
 
Most likely he's not a starter but what do we care he gives us pretty much all we could want in a backup. Our defense isnt exactly the Hoover Dam bottling up people either.

No, but you can't give up goals from the blue line in a 3-2 game.
 
Win the next two games against Calgary and Zona at home, then the tough streak starts. If we can win the next two, I will be very happy.
 
Sure, that was a bad bad goal no doubt. He does need to be a bit sharper. Some nights they'll have to score 4/5 for and others he'll save their bacon but overall i have little complaints with him.
 
He does need to be a bit sharper. That is the understatement of the century.

Considering he let's up soft goals every game, yeah he needs to be a bit sharper...LOL.
