yes. magloir sounds good, however i dont know if steve blake should be given away. he proved that he is a good pg for portland

i believe we need to give away Jack Dickau or Blake

Jack has that potential
Dickau had prove himself back when he was playing in NO
Blake is starring to be solid

i think Dickau has 2 go

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Journal Times - The Bucks have verbally agreed to deal the veteran center to the Portland Trail Blazers for guard Steve Blake, forward Brian Skinner and center Ha Seung-Jin, according to Gery Woelfel of the Journal Times.

The deal won't be announced until all players pass physicals and the trade is officially approved by the league offices.

The trade has been discussed for several weeks because Portland was reluctant to give up Blake, who started 57 games for them last season, his first in Portland.</div>

Looks like it should be going through now. He comes off the books after this season doesn't he? So if you don't want him, it's not a long term commitment, and I mean you're giving up nothing basically.

wait a minute..... Jamaal and Joel? this looks like a theres going to be another trade......

Hopefully Joel Pryzbilla to Detroit

After this trade, Some one is def. geting traded from portland now

Anyone have any ideas

Nice deal for Portland. They probably don't want Randolph and Miles, but I don't see anything happening for them.

The Blazers had an active offseason bringing in Jamaal Magloire, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Brandon Roy. I can see their record increasing by 6-10 wins maybe.

Blake is a decent guard, but I think that Portland has enough point guards that they can trade away at least one or two. Skinner and Ha are bums anyway, so acquiring Magloire (and his expiring contract) for those three players isn't too big of a loss.

^^agree

but since we got a lot of talent now in the front court. should we deal out one of those talents 4 a PG?

I mean Dickau had a great season in 2004-2005 but was hurt in 2005-06

is Dickau good enough to Start?

i wanna see who we get outta this one</div>

Hahahaha, nah I was just saying, I'd like to see Portland trade him to us, as I like the guy. I was hoping we would sign him during free agency, but it wasnt to be

There isn't as much talent on the frontcourt as you would believe. Sure Aldridge and Pryzbilla are talented, but no other big man other than Randolph (who's probably not going to get much better than he already is and will carry some baggage), is that much better. I think that the Blazers need to keep a hold on trading one of their big guys because solid big men don't grow on trees nowadays and you'll never know how younger players will turn out anyway, for better or for worse.

Dickau, Jack and Dixon is a pretty decent trio since Dixon has the ability to rotate to shooting guard and that won't affect Dickau and Jack's playing time as much. I'd say Dixon should get the nod for the starting lineup next season until Jack proves himself that he's ready. Dickau put up some decent stats on a really bad Hornets team, so I think that he'll be a solid bench player, nothing more and nothing less.

^^^ u gotta remember the we just added Maglorie to the front court

Magloire is overrated. He's a solid centre no less, but he certainly isn't going to be going to be the former all-star he once was a few years ago. I doubt Magloire is planning to stick around after his contract expires, so if the Blazers were planning to trade away one of their big men and Magloire walks out on them then all of a sudden the frontcourt will become thin again.

I'm happy with this trade,Jammal is a good Rebounder and is better on offence than Joel plus we got rid of Skinner's awful contract and a waste of a project in Ha-sung jin and from what i understand Magloire Contract if very good for the Blazers.

I dont have much faith in Dickau though, I think his main problem is confidence in his game...i dont know how much damege was caused to his confidence last year but im guessing Nate will play Dixon at the PG by december.

Dan Dickau was hurt last year

as for Dixon at PG i like that line-up

Dixon
Boy
Miles
Randolph
Maglorie

couple of changes and its looks Playoff Bound to me

I guess overrating our roster heading into a season isn't a new thing.

Also crazy to think that we always had a real good PF for what felt like decades. Now it's been like 7 years since we've had one.

I remember that year Magloire almost won All Star MVP. He was the favorite at halftime. I was very excited we got him.

Maglorie-hole. He was a black hole. Mike Barrett couldn't use his name in a sentence without mentioning he was a former allstar.

Jamal is dope! SUPER cool dude. Used to love when he’d finish off a dr to the hoop by putting his hand behind his head like a pose. That’s a straight up tribute to the Mailman.

He’d also cover his eyes with his hand during a dunk! HAAAA!!!! Love this dude.
