Jamal Crawford

I do agree last season, our bench scoring was really hard to watch. Adding him and Batum off the bench is a nice scoring combo. Didn't know he could play some pg as well.

Yeah I remember I really wanted him when he was coming out of high school because he was supposed to be 6'5 point guard. It didn't turn out that way, and he's more of a scorer obviously, but the guy does have handles and he can run the point in a pinch.

Then again, he does have his deficiencies.

Only about four or five times :)

LOL . . . well at least in my office I'm the most up to date with Blazer news, but I got a long way to go to get breaking news on this board first (got to quit my job to do that).

How about this one?

let's get #ripcitywantscrawford trending So @JCrossover knows how bad we want him in portland

Still would prefer they keep their amnesty and see if Roy would be medically retired and off the books before free agency next summer, and then amnesty Wallace if somehow we were able to convince two max free agents to come here. LET ME DREAM.

Still an opportunity to trade Wallace for an EC by the trade deadline if for some reason we're out of the playoff race. He at least has value.

Maybe Wallace will opt out :)

Of 3 reported Crawford finalists, Portland offers best combo of money, PT, shots & chance to win + near Seattle & friends on team.

This should make most of you happy

And he's a lotto pick, which should make you happy.

Ah there it is.

RR7, you had it right.

Quick:
Blazers last weekend initiated application process for Disabled Player Exception for B Roy. If granted, Blazers could offer 1 year, $5 mil

So we want Crawford and someone else. Landry would be perfect.

I'd be excited if we got Crawford. We really need another scoring punch. Would it be a 3 guard rotation of Felton/Matthews/Crawford? If we could also get Landry.....look out, Portland could challenge for the WC. Of course, Landry has a knee injury, which is why his demand is not too high.

Felton/Crawford
Matthews/Crawford
Wallace/Batum
LA/Landry
Camby/Thomas

You know what the problem is? I can see us getting rid of Wallace and then not getting someone even as good as him in free agency.

Probably, with Smith or Johnson giving spot minutes.

Quick:
Agent Andy Miller said the Disabled Player Exception was a scenario offered to his client, Jamal Crawford, along with part of mid-level

I'm not sure you can combine exceptions. :(

The offer is probably 2 years at 10 million with an opt out after this season.

Ah damn. Never mind.

Can't use DPE & amnesty. So POR has 2 options: Waive Roy and get MLE (4yrs/$21.4 mil), or get DPE (1yr/$5 mil) and mini-mid (3yr/$9.4 mil)

says who? Has someone posted a CBA that says you can't?

In the old version, once a player was said to be "disabled"/out for the year, you could apply for the DPE. If we got that, say, tomorrow, it's independent of whether or not we amnesty someone.

Can't figure out whose minutes get cut into the most

Felton
Wesley
or
Batum

I would assume Wesley, but I could see Crawford playing the 1 a little bit(right?)

Hahn:

Sense I get is @JCrossover wants to choose #Knicks but concerned about taking such a low salary ($2.5M) and despite $ POR/SAC don't compare.

ouch.

The guess here is Crawford will ultimately choose Portland. Higher salary, close to his Seattle home (and family). But heart is in NYC.

Hahn:

ouch.

I mean it makes sense. NY is the better destination for him (I'd say in terms of winning and playing time), maybe he could make up the money difference in endorsements.

But I hope he signs with us, Crawford would be great for us.
