Crawford and Laundry would be making the best out of a very unfortunate saga.

As for Roy, I don't care how it affects the Blazers, I'm glad the door will still be open for him no matter how slim the chance.

I like how the bench is shaping up. It's been a while since we had a vet-laden bench. Of course, that's if things all workout.

PG:
SG: Crawford
SF: Batum
PF: Landry
C: Thomas

That bench is almost a wet dream (at this point)...the Vulcan's can't pull this off, can they? maybe they could call in Hat Guy for support

when did Landry get signed/rumored to have signed/was looking to sign?

Landry and Crawford are nice enough players, but I really hope the Blazers don't get "happy feet" and start pulling in lots of B level talent on cap killing contracts. If they have half a brain between themselves (...) they'll try to focus on staying somewhat competitive, but keep that looming cap-space available in a year or two to open up sign and trade possibilities, unbalanced trades, and/or possibly a free agent that can help them.

Well, they can only offer 5 million a year. If worst comes to worst, I don't think these "B level" talents will be hard to move.

sweet, the Blazers are trading for Dwight Howard and they were only kidding about Greg Odens set back.

one shouldn't drink and tweet.

Landry and Crawford would be incredible! Landry lead the league in 4th quarter FGs or FTs or something like that. I remember him kicking our ass in the playoff series a few years ago.

Unlike some posters here, I think the Blazers best move may be to try and create a deep team with many quality players. We'll have a lot of cap space next year, but we should use it to re-sign our own guys. The only "top tier" UFAs next year are old guys like Steve Nash and Kevin Garnett. And we all know, Portland is not an A destination for those kind of guys.

The only downside on Landry I hear, is that he's coming off a pretty bad knee injury.

They could try a S/T. Armon/Babbit/Elliot would be enough salary going out to aquire Crawford. They could then have the DPE/MLE left to use on another person.

Sounds like tomorrow might be a fun free agent day for us!

Canzano adds his thoughts....

Consider... Money: Portland > Knicks... Style of play: Knicks > PDX... Minutes: Even. This is a tough one for Crawford.

Crawford decision feels heavy. Sacto has to know this is a two-team race. Knicks vs. Blazers. Who ya got?

Jamal Crawford's stock has dropped enough that the Blazers can now afford him. Wow. May have to take $3 million less than he made last yr
