If G-State completes deal for Murphy, it's expected he'll get bought out and become a free agent. Then? Orlando, Dallas, Boston, Miami etc

what deal doent include dallas?

Why do the deal then? Gadzuric and Wright are exprings too....

And the dominos are starting to fall...

STEIN_LINE_HQ Sacramento and New Orleans closing in on deal that would send Carl Landry to Hornets for Marcus Thornton and David Andersen

landry would be a perfect backup for la and when la plays center.... we could use him at pf. of course we miss out on this deal.

also meet david west replacement next year

I would have loved to acquire Landry or even B. Wright/Gadzuric. We need some bigs. Wright is a very talented player, just hasn't put it together yet.

Dirk Nowitzki had the best response of all to the Carmelo Anthony trade.

“It’s great for the West,” he said. “Hopefully, Tim Duncan and Kobe [Bryant] will go East next.”

Well, that’s probably not going to happen. But neither is the likelihood of the Mavericks doing anything before the trade deadline.

Normally, the Mavericks look for bargains when it comes to the trade deadline. This year, bargains won’t do. Steals are what they are seeking. If it’s not along the lines of something great for something close to nothing, they don’t seem interested.

Speculation about a reunion with Devin Harris seems farfetched, at best. And the Mavericks are in the enviable position of liking their situation and not needing (or wanting) to take on any long-term money in any deal.

The trade deadline is 2 p.m. Thursday.

#Blazers can win bidding for Devin if #Mavs wont offer much more than Caron's $10.6M expiring...still a bit of hope for those who want Harris!

No he wouldn't. Sure, his offense is nice, but that isn't what we need in a big alongside LA. Rebounding and defense is and Carl Landry sucks at both.

Check out his drtg and rebound rates his first couple years in the league--when he wasn't asked to be a big scorer; he was quite good. There's no reason to think he can't be again if returned to a similar role.

He only had a good rebound rate his first year playing 17 mpg...

I'm really not that excited about the Harris deal... but I guess if he can recapture what he did when he first got to NJ, that would be okay with me.

Portland deal involving Miller/Harris one of several scenarios NJ involved with. Doesn't necessarily signal they are done with Melo.

Harris would go to NJ if the Nets can keep their Carmelo Anthony pursuit alive. So Portland deal appears to be backup plan.

Blazers and Nets continue to discuss Andre Miller-Devin Harris swap, sources say. Deal includes other pieces but not Rudy Fernandez.

So you think getting Felton was better than getting Harris.
