If anyone is protesting too much, it's the tin foil hats.

God, like all the times Paul McCartney kept saying it's me, I'm alive! and idiots asked how do we know it's really you?

So Paul would clearly be selling had he not denied it - but that the fact that he did deny it ALSO means he's selling? What reaction should we except were he really not selling?

Grasping for straws.

The off-season isn't only hard on S2 but the journalists in this city have to come up with wild theories every week.

The only one who drops news/rumors has been Chris Haynes. In his first year he's already the most reliable.

And yet, he's still terribly unreliable.

On top of that.... he needs to brush up on his writing skills.

I hate battles where both sides are douches. F PA and F James!

Well, it's either going to happen or it won't ... until then I'm not sure if there's much point in wringing our hands over it.

I already got my coug. I just want to pinch Jaynes' oversized mammary glands for all the times he's been an obnoxious jackass.

I'm shocked he still has a job in this town. He's been hanging on for years. Remember when he was practically begging for job? Who's knob did he bob to get all the gigs he currently has (and has had in the last few years)?

Yeah I know. He was begging for a job in his blog a couple years back. Now it seems like he's the biggest re-tread 'sports guy' in this town. His glory days stirring shit in the Oregonian are about 20 years long gone.

I remember back up to around mid90s Jaynes groveled before Paul Allen in a manner that was absolutely cringe-worthy. Not just praise but absolute groveling worship. Anyone with too much time on their hands (Greg Oden?) can search the archives. Now it's the opposite. I always wondered if PA grabbed Jaynes' best girl or something.

And before that he was furious that a Seattlite had bought the team, wanted to run Kiki and Clyde out of town, and thought Adelman was the worst coaching hire in history.

After his "trade Clyde for Harold Minor" campaign, I am amazed he wasn't legally banned from ever owning a keyboard.

I'm in the minority but I'm sure there is something to what Dwight is shoveling. The interesting thing is he has gave himself an out by saying, "Now, like before Allen may have a change of heart blah...blah...blah..." But if the words are coming Merrit Paulson himself and he is telling him he is in negotiations with Paul on the franchise. I would say that his a pretty good source.

There was a thread the other day about Canzano's article. 3 lobbyists had asked him to advocate for Paulson, so he did. In the article, he phoned Paulson for comment and Paulson denied interest. So you can't say that maybe Jaynes got his information from Paulson.

The Blazers already have an owner!

He needs to focus on bringing in the MLB.

Pro-baseball would thrive in Portland. Come on, Paulson!

lol sounds like someone we know

"my sources are impeccable, my information impregnable. deal coming soon."

Apparently this is directed at me. My sources are not impeccable, my information is not impeccable either. It's sad people do this because all I was trying to do was share some information from someone that knew about a deal to fellow Blazermaniacs. Some people have a hard time letting go, I guess?

Now this was funny. I wonder how many in here will actually get it though

Don't worry bro. Needling each other is just what we do around here. I for one appreciate that sort of info - even though I know no deal is truly "done" until the commish signs off on it.

How are they going to get a horse's head on board PA's private luxury liner?

A horse's ass - sure, no problem. Everyone will just think Bert got a new haircut.

Speaking of needling. I Mrs HCP was busy last night because The HCP was having sex with her
