Roy and Miller will never co-exist. Say's there's something just "wrong" with Roy...and has been all season.

Dwight fears that, if KP doesn't make a move to trade Miller, this team may not make the playoffs.

Personally, I think the team makes the playoffs regardless, but I can agree that it's very apparent a personnel move needs to be made ASAP.

In the end I'm blaming it all on Nate. The players openly said they were confused about the offense and all Nate could say was they'll have to figure it out. I just don't find that acceptable.

It just strikes me a little like math students being confused on algebra, and the teacher saying they'll have to figure it out.

It's all very well saying "trade Miller" - to whom? I can't think of a single team that would trade for him. Can you?

I'm giving Nate the benefit of the doubt right now. I mean, he had to endure all the crappy teams that Nash left behind and work towards building what we have today. I'm at least gonna be patient with him throughout this season. That said, if it's clear that the team has underachieved this entire season then, yes, Nate has culpability there.

Hmmmmm.........how about a deal (Miller, Webster, and ?) with Detroit that would net us Prince?

Tayshaun Prince is on the shelf with a bad back ... no thanks.

I'm sure NO would give us Peja for Miller and Outlaw. :(

I am actually pissed we didn't makea move for Stephen Jackson still. We could really use some toughness on this team. Now he is in Charlotte, and amazingly enough everything got easier for that team as soon as he showed up.

Leaving us without a PG....Not sure that's a smart move.

As for Nate, he was given the worst team in the league, and then given talent. Of course the team was going to improve. Now, if he had taken the worst team in the league, and turned those players into something, that would be saying something.

OK, that's right "now". How bad of an injury does he have? Otherwise, he's a proven commodity. I understand we need players, but if Miller really is addition by subtraction, then... :dunno:

Are the Wizards still having problems? Maybe we could get a Butler deal going somehow?

What about Chucky Atkins as part of that same deal?

Anyway, it was just a suggestion. The crux of the matter, though, appears to be the need to move Miller.....at least according to the Godfather.

ABM have you ever had a back injury? Lets put it this way. Most guys with disk type injuries that Prince has, are never the same again. Back injuries probably end more careers than knee injuries. Put it this way. I would not consider Prince ever, unless a physical was passed with flying colors.

Fair enough.

Why in the world would we want to add talented players who can score to this roster?

Assclown and Roy can't even figure out how to deal with Oden getting 10 shots a game. Can you imagine the head explosions if they brought in a high scoring SF?

When the back starts to go on the wrong side of thirty ... :dunno:

SI.com has an article up by Hendrickson that tries to dump 100% of the blame for the Blazers' problems on Miller. The article sounded like it was written by Roy's mother.

Nope.

He was on the block last year, and a FA this summer, and nobody cared except KP.

I seriously doubt you could even trade him to the Kings for Sergio at this point.

I'm thinking it's more of a mind-games thing between (at least) Roy and Miller. For whatever reason, Miller's presence has caused Roy great internal angst/confliction. IMO, Roy's just not in his right mind and appears to be spouting off his attitude du jour......whether it even makes sense, or not. Plus, by the time these utterances pass through the filters of Quick/Canzano, anything could be read into the issues.

PS: I realize LMA didn't play, but Oden still managed to get 13 shots off last night.

Of course it's Miller :biglaugh:

It couldn't be our starting 1 guard posting a sub 10 PER, it couldn't be that our best wing defender is out ... well, with a busted wing, it couldn't possibly be that our All-star is having a way down year and can't seem to adjust to playing with a low post player again.

The only thing I think you can say about Miller is that it's always easy to blame the new guy.

Be fair...McMillan did give them a viable solution: scrapping. Also: More scrappiness.

That's exactly it. More correlation/causation confusion.

The thing is, I made this great sandwich just prior to the season and now the season is off to a poor start. Now I'm scared to make such great sandwiches again, but it looks like the damage has already been done. :(

Oh man that must have been his solution from another inteview. In the interview I watched, his solution was "Working Harder". His solutions are always one of those two things.

Don't forget the super valuable "Hit your shots" theory.

Nate says that a bunch too.

Thanks coach! I am pretty sure the players didn't realize they needed to score in order to win until you pointed it out.

Apparently Nate learned how to throw your own team under the bus from George Karl along with all the other stuff.

Yea it reminds me of Snapper Jones. When one of his keys to the game was scoring more baskets then your opponent. Really Steve? Wow thanks for the wisdom.

Some people and posters were warning about this before Miller started training camp or even signed.

I don't think it is a "new guy" thing as much as it is a Miller is not a good locker room guy and easy to blame him for the Blazer troubles.

We can see clearly now why KP wanted Turkgolou and not Miller. Hedo would have fit much, much better.

Miller and Roy are essentially the same player, though Roy is much better at it. They both need the ball to succeed. They don't fit on the same team.
