I've said it before and I'll say it again..... the NBA needs to reduce the number of preseason games that are played.

I agree. It is rare a player is kept on a team becaues of preseason game play anyhow. But it does happen (Ime Udoka comes to mind).
 
Down 10 with 3:23 left in the game. Can we make a miracle comeback again?
 
When was that? We've had a very inconsistent, losing pre-season.

Well, we have Roy, LaMarcus and Greg...and Greg missed his rookie year.

Then we have them last year, and Greg isn't really a consistent player (due to injury from previous year).

Now we have a few new cogs, and we're still coming off like the team of 3 years ago. Poorly coached, poorly thought out, and pretty much like we're running around with no idea how to play defense or do an offensive set.

I almost want to subconsciously prepare myself for a disappointing season.
 
If we make a come back it doesn't count, as I think all of the starters are done for the night.....so its our garbage beats their garbage :D

IDK, when we're shooting 42% and 14% from beyond the arc and the other team is 50+%, doesn't seem like its the ref's fault.

Yah, I think the refs do suck, but shouldn't the crowd be chanting "play smart defense" or something?
 
We pretty much have an identical box score, except for our shooting %'s
 
Suns finish with 143 points, defeating the Kings who had 127. Frye had 29 points and shot 9/12. But only a measly 3 rebounds.
 
To be fair to channing, when the team you're playing puts up almost 130 points, there probably aren't a lot of bricks for you to collect. I mean, Sergio only got 5 minutes tonight. :drumroll:
 
Cunningham had a very effective game. 14 points 6 rebounds, and 2 assists (with no turnovers) in 21 minutes.

Bayless also had a good game, with 16 points.
 
The way the games have been officiated I'm not sure how much stock to put into these games. It has to be a different style of basketball.

the box score seems to suggest Miller had a better game than Blake (although both shot like shit). Is that true from those who listened/went to the game?

Or is it like asking if John Madden is uglier than Don Rickles?

The Suns-Kings game had a total of 55 fouls and 82 free throws. Damn Gina!
 
Doesn't look like anyone is playing d in the Kings/Suns game. 117-100 with 9:00 left.

Suns win 143-127 with 56 FT attempts. Kings had 26 FT attempts.

Sergio in 8:42 had 1 rb, 4 ast, 1 pf, 1 to and was 1 of 4 Kings with a +(3).

Sergio had 1 less assist in 8:42 than Blake, Bayless and Miller combined had in 58:24.

Martell seems to have had a good all around game also.

Miller continues his ballhogging ways by taking, and missing, the most shots again, 3-11 in only 16 minutes, and getting blocked 3 times. Roy was 5-9 in 30 minutes.

Yeah, Martell may have not shot well, but he was active in all other facets of the game, getting blocks, steals, and rebounds.

Oh, I misunderstood your post. I agree completely. We seem shockingly unprepared in every way to compete right now. :sigh:

I was surprised that more of the team didn't show up early this summer to work out together. By early, I mean sometime shortly after Independence Day. I really thought they might be that pumped, but we seem to have lost that youthful exuberance and hunger that we had the 2 previous years. Now it seems it's just a job. :dunno:

pfft, that's like saying it's easy to win when you outscore, out hustle your opponent and actually play something that might resemble a form of defense.

It's easy to knock down shots when your PG gets you the ball when and where you want it.
