Jeb Bush Throws A Fit And Tells America He Has Better Things To Do Than Be President

Welcome to our community

How is that a different take? It's an article talking about how Jeb's campaign is floundering based on his meltdown.

It's funny how hard you are trying to spin this.

Better things to do than be president

vs.

Not campaigning to preside over gridlock

My interest is in finding support for the article's claim or debunking it if there is none. There is none.

So you are only going to take the parts of his statement that somehow proves whatever point you're trying to make and ignore everything else? (Btw, you didn't site the source.)

Sweet, I'll do that too!

Jeb Bush endorses Trump for President!

"Elect Trump if you want..." (Jeb Bush speaking in North Carolina on Saturday, October 24th.)

This is worth a thread?

Why don't we just have an all purpose one: "I hate your candidate and they say stupid stuff. Neener, neener!"
I agree. Even though I don't like Jeb, I think Sly posting this is meaningless. I knew exactly what Jeb was saying in the town hall.

Dude, do you even read what you write sometimes?? Seems like Sly is just trying to fight your fire with more fire. I think he learned the "art" of trolling at your feet......

I think Sly's intentions were good. It's a well known fact that a dog's reading comprehension maxes out at about a third grade level.

You already took parts of his statements out of context to come up with this click bait thing.

I think it is funny you are defending Bush. And that you are putting yourself forward as a 'seeker of truth, whatever that may be'.

He said: I don't want to be president if there is going to be gridlock. Well, we all know there is and will be gridlock, so what he said is that he doesn't want the job.
He also said: I don't want to be demonized and have to demonize the competition. Well, we all know that's how running for president works, so what he said is that he doesn't want to run for president.

Now, it's just a couple of sentences, and maybe he was frustrated at that moment, etc. I don't think it defines his campaign or anything. But his words do have meaning, and that meaning was pretty clear.

Obviously, he was frustrated and he didn't say what he meant in the best of fashions, but come on. It's clear that what he's saying is that one of the main reasons he wants to be president is to break through the gridlock and get things done. As the most moderate of Republican candidates, he's probably got the best shot of any of them of finding areas of compromise with the Democrats. Not so sure that he can avoid gridlock with the right wing of his own party, however.

The thing is, he IS running for president. So your logic makes no sense (as usual).

"I don't want to be part of a fight to get nothing done."

"I've got better things to do than to get into insult matches with the other candidates."

That's what he said.

Yep. Also what I said.

He is running for president, for now. Badly, as if he doesn't really want to be doing it.

And, you know, sometimes people run for president and then stop running for president.

Any way we can get Hillary to do that?

He may quit the race, true. It wouldn't shock me. At some point if Trump doesn't implode, there's no point in spending money to come in 2nd.

In a similar vein, Bernie Sanders has changed his bush-like tune (don't want to get into pissing matches) to bashing Clinton.

(of course Sanders is right - it is hard to defend Hillary on much of anything she does or has done).

Sanders Accuses Hillary of 'Rewriting History' in Her Support for DOMA

I totally agree with the voters not being focused on issues.
