Holy Crap. Don't know if he will go on DL or play through it. If he plays through it something will give out or blow up in no time. Sorry if someone already posted this.

^^^considering the state of things right now I would be surprised if he called it a career.

...yeah, on one hand, if I were Jeter and saw the mess they have, I might wanna hang it up.
...on the other hand, it I were Jeter, there's no way I wanna go out like this...hell, Mo pulled it off, maybe Derek Sanderson Jeter can too.

I feel in order to do it, and I know you get this, Jeter would need to make a position change to 3B or 1B to save strain on the ankles and legs, assuming that Arod is suspended and after the appeal, why overpay for a 3B when we are, or should be in semi rebuild mode. Jeter is due the privileged to retire with all the accolades and respect befitting arguably one of the greatest Yankees of all time. I have learned never to questions Jeter's heart. I believe he could have 2 more productive years but it will require concessions on his part also.
His days at short need to be over.
It would be great if he could head up an investment team that could rescue the Yankees from this group of idiots.
I've had the same thoughts in recent years. If Jeter was in on an investment group that bought this franchise you know it would get turned in the right direction.
While I agree that his days at short SHOULD be over... can you really expect someone at 39 to learn a new position?
...can't really play him anywhere...the OF and 1B are out of the question and I don't think he has the range or the arm to play 3B...and I can't see him as the full time DH either.
...I think maybe Jeter will weigh his options and talk it over with management.
...I dunno, it's a conundrum that DJ and the Yanx will have to consider moving forward to next year...if Cano does not return, maybe 2B for one year...yes, 2B is a position that requires range but not as physically demanding as the SS position.
It's a grade 1 strain, 2 weeks to full recovery, not a big deal, yes it's unbelievable and yes Jeter is old and on his way out, but not now and not like this, he'll be back soon.
I still can't see him learning a new position at his age... I just can't see it
...fortunately for you, stupidity is not also painful.
