Jets over Pats!

Before the game Rex Ryan read Brady's last 5ish years in the playoffs to his team. The struggling made them feel on the same level.

is this a joke? Jets had 8 guys in coverage and were still getting pressure on Brady all game. Receivers couldn't get open against double coverage. Anybody who blames Brady for that has no clue what they're talking about.

You use the running game like the Pats were able to do on the 8 minute drive they messed up. Brady had a sloppy game he definitely cost them a TD at the end. Or stop milking the clock on that drive. They didn't show much sense of urgency and mishandled time.

The Pats have a better running game than Pittsburgh, Brady took the Pats down the field twice and had Branch open on 4th down, where they got zero. On another fourth down they didn't go for it and kicked a fieldgoal. They should have had another drive to score, Jets were in safe mode at the end just holding on.

I blame Brady for knocking up Bridget Moynahan and then leaving her, thus ruining a hot chick for life. Ass.

I'm not a huge football fan but I
1) like the Jets
2) don't like the Patriots
3) don't like pretty boys (e.g., Brady)
4) all things being equal, root for the underdogs

Sorry, Seahawks.

Agree on the "why, Ravens?". They had that game won twice over - sigh - unfortunately only the final score counts. Not that I like the Ravens, but I dislike the Steelers and their rapist QB even more.

Will you marry me?

Yup, Brady was not his usual self, at all. But I still think he was the best player on the field for the Patriots. The defense was terrible (like they were all year) the o-line couldn't block 3 pass rushers. Receivers couldn't get open and made key drops. They couldn't run the ball against the Jets' dime package. They had a huge mistake on special teams. The whole team was crap, especially the coaching staff.

If you're male, no.

If you're female, maybe after Prop H8 is finally overturned.

But only if you like cats.

I love cats!

Meet Ralph,

And Mack passed away a last summer. :(

And the one on the right is Lola. She is basically a huge cat.

margotorlandorudy.JPGOrlando.jpgIs Ralph a calico? Ralph is (generally) a male name and calicos are 98% female, so I'm curious.

My family are Orlando, Rudy and Margot.

Ralph is a calico and Ralph is female. Long story about her name. :)

Orlando looks like a pimp.

Personally, I like the lady's feet. Dig that turned-up cuff, ankle look. :)

Orlando is NOT a pimp. I raise my cats better than that. He is, however, the feline godfather. He established himself as head cat of the neighborhood by being the biggest & strongest. Now, he starts every day by carefully marking the perimeter of his territory, then sits on a tree stump while other neighborhood cats approach him, with due deference, and communicate their problems. Like Don Corleone, he resoves the disputes in the neighborhood, peacefully if possible, presumably by making the other cats offers they can't refuse.

I dislike both the Jets and Pats, so either one going down was a win for me. Pittsburgh would likely have an easier time with NYJ, so it was probably better they won.

I'm hoping for a Steelers/Packers Super Bowl with the Packers winning the whole thing.

I really don't get how this loss is on Brady? Why discredit the Jets like that? They're pass coverage was phenomenal. Most of the sacks were coverage sacks.

The Pats had 113 rushing yards, 4 yards a carry. They had the right idea and would have won if they played faster.

They walked around and wasted 8 minutes, when they should be in a 2 or 4 minute drill. You're down 10 points in the fourth quarter that's not the time to milk clock. Or just hit an open Deion Branch on fourth down.

He did hit Branch. Branch dropped the ball.

I didn't have a problem with that drive. It milked the clock, but they moved down field. Unfortunately for the Pats, it stalled @ the last second. If you recall, they got a defensive stop the very next possession and they drove down field and scored a TD and then botched the onside kick, right? I don't think that drive was all that bad. There was enough time for them to manage the game like that. The problem was the drive ending in a FG and then letting Cromartie return that onside kick.

4 yards a carry is awesome against 3-2-6 defenses.

Oh wait, no it isn't.

My bad, I actually watched the game.

Also, take out the 2 reverse plays from WRs, and they drop down to 3.5 ypc

If I recall correctly ( 11 points the other 58 minutes), didn't Brady heat up at the end of the game through the air? Lol what convoluted point are you making?

Yeah I watched the game, I noticed Belichick on the sideline telling your boys to play faster while they walked around like idiots. I don't remember it ever being in the game plan to blow the game because you don't have enough drives.

8:15, Behind him you mean? Branch barely got his hands on it. If the Pats score on that drive they still messed up, the Jets march down the field for a fieldgoal and win at the end. They could have had 2 or 3 more drives if they went no huddle, and they scored half their points in that offense.

That looked pretty fuckin' catchable to me.

Yeah it was "catchable" but given that he was wide open it wasn't the best pass dude. Hey genius people aren't supposed to win 6 playoff games when they score 21 points or less.

Brady isn't the OC, so who cares? They were obviously running the play clock down so the Jets were forced to show their defense before the ball was snapped. If they scored on the drive, they're down 3 with like 4 mins left. And yeah, Brady heated up in garbage time, good for him.
