Jimmy Butler wants out? (He does.)

Might want to check which post of yours I quoted there. Neil keeping you busy this morning?

I quoted the original source and then offered my opinion. You need facts for me to justify my opinion? Here you go:

OKC was not Paul Geroge's first choice. OKC was not Carmelo's first choice. TOR was not Kawhi's first choice. In none of those cases was the team that ended up getting the disgruntled superstar mentioned in initial reports of likely destinations. In all three cases the team that actually got the player was a team that sat back, watched as other negotiations broke down and then jumped in at the end with their best offer.

Where's your facts? Just another ad hominem attack. So predictable. You're not adding anything to the discussion, you're just attacking me.

BNM

He works for the Blazers now... wouldn’t make a statement like that without Neil’s direction.
Hes probably trusting someone who doesnt have a connection. When has Dwight Jaynes ever broken a story? Never. Neil runs a tight ship. I wouldn't trust Jaynes sources at all.

1) What's wrong with attacking you?
2) Hey, he is what he is. No need to keep calling someone a homo.

Here's the thing, if they trade CJ for Butler, it just moves the hole in the starting 5 to a different position.

If they trade CJ for Butler and Butler leaves, people will be apoplectic. So just cut out the middle man and bitch about anything and everything the team does and anything and everything the team doesn't do, and while you're at it, anything and everything you think the team could do regardless of it's connection to reality.

If olshey trade discussing to get Butler the names he might be throwing at them is Turner Aminu Leonard and maybe draft pick. I think two of the 3 mention would be in the trade. I believe Aminu would be so Collins can start. Plus Dieng would be in Minnesota package with Turner.

Exactly. It’s his character. I was on the wolves subreddit and everything bad wolves fans had to say we’re about thibs and jimmys character. That’s what scares me about him in a scenario where we trade cj.
Well, what is it specifically about his character? He's not a criminal is he? Doesn't hang out with criminals does he? Has he ever put down any of his teammates in public? Has he ever hit a coach? Ever refused to listen to a coach?

Knowing Neil, this is probably what’s he’s offering.

He's called out teammates before and essentially said it was his way or Fred Hoibergs way in Chicago.

Olshey has been unable to find a SF since Batum, but has easily stocked up on SGs every year. (The excuse is that there's supposedly a league shortage of SFs.)

He has a large inventory of SGs in the roster warehouse. McCollum's contract is preventing him from strengthening us up front. So this would solve his unsolvable problem (balancing the roster with a star SF), and the problem it would create (McCollum leaving) would be easily solved (roster already has excessive SGs, including future star Anfernee Simon).

If Butler is a SF, so who plays SG?

If Butler is a SF, who plays SG?

Either way, it means they have 3 solid starters and 2 so-so starters.

Damian, CJ, Moe, Aminu and Nurk has 3 solid starters (Damian, CJ and Nurk) and 2 so-so starters.

Damian, Butler, Moe, Aminu and Nurk has 3 solid starters (Damian, Butler and Nurk) and 2 so-so starters.

If he's the SF, who do they start at the SG spot that's not a so-so starter?

Not that is' going to happen, but Damian, Cj, Butler, Moe and Nurk wouldn't just be a lateral move.

The biggest reason why the team sucked in the playoffs (and isn't going anywhere) is the fact that they have holes in their team, and no one who can create for himself. It's debatable that Butler can create for himself.

That lineup with Butler is much better though.

The thing is, it's not much better. It's better, but not "much" better, especially given the chance next year it'd be a starting lineup with only damian, maurice and nurk under contract.

It's like people don't get that. Sometimes the grass isn't greener, especially if you don't get that you might potentially cut off your own water source.

Jimmy Butler is MUCH better than CJ.

Here is one thing he said about Hoiberg: "It’s not even about being coached a certain way for five years. It’s about making everybody do their job. We weren’t doing what we were supposed to be doing, what we wrote up on that [locker room] board before the game, and nobody spoke up about it. I did, probably not enough times, but I think [Hoiberg] has to hold everybody accountable, from the number one player to however many guys we got. Everyone has to do their job." Here is some more. None of it really derogatory in my opinion.

Sounds like the type of guy we need in the locker room. Portland is too buddy buddy. I mentioned this before we traded Plumlee. Then we made the Nurk trade which probably pissed off the team, but at the same time, it also woke them up and they started playing better. We need a kick in the ass again.

Stuff happens behind the scenes. I have a friend with a source in Chicago's front office. Its not good.

Also, if he has this to say about Hoiberg, then Stotts definitely isn't the coach for him.
