MRI reveals meniscal injury in Jimmy B-s knee. Wolves have offered no timeline for his return. How long does a meniscal injury take to heal?
Typically around 4-6 weeks for recovery which will likely keep him out all of March and maybe some of April.

Brandon Roy played four days after meniscus surgery.

That worked out well.
Actually it was 8 days but the 4th game of the playoffs against Phoenix. Pretty remarkable he was able to come back so quick, but at that time his meniscus in both knees were shot and his time was limited as shown the following year.

Good news everyone! Jimmy Butler will be a Portland Trail Blazer next season!!!!!!

Butler's injury is going to make the T-pups a better team. They may lose some games with him out but when he comes back, watch out! They've been relying on Butler to bail them out too much, a more balanced team is a better team.

Right... dropping to 7th or 8th will really help them in the playoffs. They're done.

Remember this season when Dame missed some games? We got better, players expanded their roles, Dame came back and we are a better team.

Yes, and I think they'll be a better team for it. They've learned from Butler but they rely on him too much. I'm not saying that they'll have a better record than us, I'm talking about player and team development.
They won big tonight without him....Jamal Crawford will have to step up big time and not get gassed with big minutes

Eh, against the Bulls though.

Can't rely on Crawford too heavily, that man is what, 37 now? 38?

Picture right now doesn't look pretty for Minnesota as they have a lot of tough games coming up and if it takes at least 6 weeks then he could miss the rest of the regular season. I think they play 12 of those games against playoff level teams.

Individual results may vary.

The argument is that more minutes increases the likelihood of injury, not that it guarantees injury. And different players are going to be more or less susceptible.

Not saying that's the reason he got injured; just sayin'.

You took two quotes but the original was blaming Thibs. Now i totally agree that when you have played 4 games in 5 nights and you are pushing 40 mins a game you have a problem but that simply was not the case and Butler is playing 37 which is actually less than he averaged over his years in Chicago. where he pushed 38 for a couple years. This year Lillard is averaging 36.6 so in this case yeah that .4 mins a game does add up.
Now lets look at career average. Butler is at 32.9 as he had a couple years at the beginning of his career that were much lower. Dame however is sitting at a career average of 36.4.
Now if we are gonna blame Thibs for an injury of a player that was Non-contact right after the All-Star break i would assume it's time to start sitting Lillard at the end of games because he is playing too much????

That might not have gone over so well last night in Phoenix i presume. ......Just Sayin.

Exactly and the Bulls have basically conceded to tanking by sitting players at various times and going with young players. They have a lot of tough games coming up against some of the top teams.
