He is playing chess with Dame, if he comes out as a winner i'll forever be grateful to him

not to mention that in b2b years he tanked at the right time and he netted us Sharpe/Scoot

We are in a better position now with him running the show for 1 year than after 10 years with Olshey

This is the offseason in which he can project us into the future, let's hope he completes what he started 1 year ago

Playing chess.....wha.....calling Dame's bluff? Where does this stuff come from? Please elaborate on a single reason Mr. Lillard has to bluff the teams managment? Last time I checked, he is getting paid regardless.

Furthermore, what in Mr. Lillard's past shows he is one to stoop as low as bluffing?

I love his drafts. They have been fantastic so far.

Not a huge fan of some of his trades.

I have high hopes for this offseason.
This is what Ive been saying. Drafts have been fabulous. I'm ok with the tanking and youth.

But the trade deadline deals have been poor, especially the Clippers deal. The off-season GP2 signing was horrific, other vet min pickups were bad too.

Main issue I have is this team not having a consistent direction. When Neil was fired it should've been one person getting hired and working toward a single set of goals pushing for a 3-5 year plan. We seem to change plans every few months.

If we're rebuilding you don't sign GP2 or you don't trade the Duren pick for Grant. If we're winning now you don't trade Hart for a late pick or let Ingels/Bledsoe/Trade exceptions expire for nothing. You also get one backup center and one backup PG. We had Keon at PG and Grant at center.

The Nurk and Ant contracts were another Olshey style blunder, now they appear to have little trade value. They had no offers so it was ridiculous to overpay them.

Also he has the Jody/Bert limitations which yes make it harder to build a winner.

And yet here we are. The fabulous drafts make up for everything else.

We really have entered crazyville cause some of you fans are praising Cronin and making Dame the bad guy -- WTF is wrong with you people besides the obvious. You have zero loyalty to the player who is the only reason the Blazers are not in the lotto each and every season since he has been in the league. You show ZERO loyalty to the player that has given his heart and soul not only to the franchise but to the city of Portland but NO he is a bad guy. It's Cronin that should be fired and run the hell out of town along with that BEEP Jody who is making Cronin her YES man but no let's praise Cronin for contributing to this cluster BEEP this has turned into.

It's the Flavor of the day. And the love for it get's shorter and shorter by the minute. People now think 5 years is an eternity. They can't comprehend that 19 + 5 is 24. Because 24 will be too old to build around i guess.

19 years old today, is 24 in 2028. There are teams that have already sent picks for 2030 away. But i guess this franchise , with a 32 year old, generational talent in his prime , doesn't rate that kind of commitment. If he does, please show me. And again, Every Great Player Gets Paid. Real loyalty is surrounding said player with talent that can pay dividends for that player's timeline. Especially when it's said to be the plan.

I'm positive it was discussed, but I never saw a reason why we had to get DET and all the picks involved...why couldn't/didn't Cronin just take Wiseman for GP2?
