It's sad our country is this divided that we can't even all pay respects to someone who dedicated his life to help people. Maybe not always how you'd like, but dedicated nonetheless.
jjjJohn McCain gave his entire adult life serving America. He was a civil servant, who tried to make America better. Sure some of
Here is a secret. That's not what the problem is with this thread.

He voted no on MLK day.
His act is shtick.
Just sadly, the wrong thread to voice them in. It's too badI don't care what y'all think about my feelings about McCain.
I couldn't agree more. Nothing nice to say, dont need to say anythingjjj
Ok, I'll chime in some.
If two people don't have respect for one another, imo, it would be disrespectful to say things that they don't feel.
Id rather a person in leadership simply convey condolences and sorrow to the family, rather than blow hot air.
It's ok if the deceased and/or family doesn't want or expect, the other to attend any services.
Neither is right or wrong, they are feelings! and feelings are not right or wrong!
...he wasn't referring to you.

In your opinion.
Yes, I suspect you are sensing his opinion correctly.
I too have declined to speak ill of the man in a thread created to acknowledge his passing. Many of us like to speak our mind as we we perceive the truth. Some from as we feel it, and other as logical deduction guides us. Being one that prefers logic over feeling for decision making, I do think there is a place for feeling and even the opinions of those that prefers that process in decision making.
Perhaps this is the time to hold one's piece at the advice of those who's sense of feeling for proper decorum is greater than mine, possibly even yours.
Good advice.Don't engage with the bot.
Both the VFW and the American Legion were offended by Trump's actions upon Senator McCain's death. Me? I'm a life member of both and feel the same.I’m interested in hearing how these events are viewed by @BrianFromWA and others currently serving as well as the veterans around here.
I already have my opinion of Trump but I’m wondering if those who are or have served feel slighted by Trump. I know a large portion of veterans support Trump. Does his treatment of McCains passing affect their views at all?

I think it would be helpful if you started a new threat where opinions could be fully vented. This is McCain's thread.
...yeah. like you've never taken a thread off topic.
Well that was not my reason for making the suggestion.
Oh I don't thinks so. In a new thread some of us would feel free to speak freely of the man....Well your "suggestion" was hypocritical.
His greatest mistake was Sarah Palin.
Rice is a sharp cookie. In fact both Rices are sharp cookies, Susan and Condoleezza.A terrible, terrible decision that underminded any faith in his decision making. Had he chosen a better vp candidate he may have had better success against Obama. If he wanted a woman he should have chosen Rice.
Gee thanks!! I'll take that as a compliment.Well it appears, @PtldPlatypus has the @SlyPokerDog act well in hand.

You must have me confused with Barfo.

The right comment is always..."I disagree and here's why"..another option is..."I don't buy it but you're welcome to your opinion".....respect...pass it onthe rightful comment here will not be expressed.
