The Wolves won't trade Pekovic for Batum. There's no chance of that happening.

Blazers should do a Batum for Pekovic and an unprotected 1st sign and trade. We get rid of whiny ass Batum, avoid dishing out a ridiculous contract, and get back a very solid center, who is young and has a reasonable contract (which is expiring).

Batum is a restricted free agent and Pekovic is worth more than him anyways I would think. Why would the Wolves give up Pekovic AND a #1 for Batum. Not happening.

I never said Ridnour and Webster. Ridnour as a part of it would make sense. IF the Blazers don't want to pay Batum that much.... IF they feel he needs to move on because he doesn't want to be in Portland and he's burned some bridges.... they'll take less than what he's worth.

Ridnour to help mentor your rookie PG makes sense. Maybe a #1 pick has to be thrown in.

Says the guy that expects us to dump Batum for Ridnour and Webster...

I think Portland overplayed their hand here. They could have snagged a solid PG in Luke Ridour, but demanding equal value for Batum just isn't gonna happen. The Wolves could just trade Derrick Williams to another team for some more assets, take the cap space, and sign Batum to the $12 mil Portland doesn't want to match.

Right now it looks like the Grizz pick, Wes, and Ridnour are all in play. Much better than letting Kahn dump Darko and trade Ridnour somewhere else, then sign Batum outright.

this is all logical, but we are talking about PA and kahn here, expect the unexpected

:lol:

I love how these MN trolls sugar coat absolute shit.

Wes = Garbage
Ridnour = Garbage
non-lotto pick = Garbage

Shift your focus to Rush.

Or wait, they've already shifted to Korver.

Carry on.

Or better yet, get both picks from the T-Rolls and sign Rush ourselves

Maybe because they won't be able to afford him when his contract is up?? And if they don't give the Blazers a deal that is fair then the Blazers can always threaten to match. You want Batum? You got to negotiate. Oh and if the Blazers decide not to match the offer, don't be surprised if PA targets Minny FA's down the road. He's done it before (see Utah).

If you think we overplayed our hand, you overplayed yourself son. You either grossly overpay and we let him walk. Or we keep him. We have ultimate control in this situation.

Put up or shut up.

The Wolves only chance at Batum is with a S&T, and owner Paul Allen and Neil have shown zero interest in the Wolves roster.

Carry on.
