Now that was entertaining.

If they were Laker trolls, OKC trolls, SA trolls or even Memphis or Denver trolls, there could have been a little sting to all this.

But these are Minny trolls . . . so easy to laugh at all this.

Right? They've been a door mat for the past decade. Totally blindsided by all of this.

So, what did I miss?

Is now the time for me to tell all the T-Wolves fans that Kevin Love is the most overrated player in the NBA?

Yeah, to tell you I'm not interested and definitely not interested in KFAN.

BTW- that was strange article by Quick, but I appreciated it. Basically went off the record with quotes but informed Blazer fans what was going on in Batum's mind.

Agree with posts that Quick is the best we got out of the lot these days. Disappointed with Haynes start, Canzano will do anything for ratings and never really respected Dwight, he comes across as a bitter old man.

He definitely gained credibility this summer.

Haynes and Jaynes OTOH.....

Dropped a peg or two.

Isn't "off the record" supposed to stay out of the public? I don't even think that the info is supposed to be taken elsewhere for confirmation, let alone printed and attributed to the source.

I'm definitely not a journalism guy, and I know it doesn't change the underlying facts, but... as I understand things, Quick committed a pretty significant breach of ethics here.

Am I wrong?

Off the record but he still recorded it.

I'm not totally sure how he defines that term.

That is where this discussion was going before T Wolf central showed up.

I think you are right (which is why i said strange article). But Quick has a good pulse on Blazer fans and this Batum thing has taken many Blazer fans to heart . . . maybe he feels an obligation to give the Blazer fans something insightful about the Batum situation??? I think he put himself out on a limb, unless he is being a puppet for Nic, which I don't think so.

Could burn Quick in future interviews, but I'm guessing Batum isn't upset with what Quick reported. And if Batum doesn't raise a stink about it, probably lack of ethics will be overlooked.

Do Quick and Jaynes get along?

I know Jason was "quick" to jump on Dwight's tweets. And then he comes out with a much more reasoned response from Nic than what Jaynes has been saying. Are they battling via articles?

In the OP, it doesn't say 'off the record.' It says Nic said 'no quotes'. Quick didn't quote him. No ethics issues here.

Go Blazers

Excellent point. Thanks for clearing that up!

Btw, he said he hates how he is being portrayed in the media.

He can thank his agent, along with Haynes/Jaynes for that.

In this Case Yes. What Quick said this morning is that Batum's agent told Batum not to be "Quoted," as in words that would be printed in the newspaper. He was fully allowed to discuss things verbally. Furthermore, Quick didn't really say Batum's direct words, but simply gave the gist of Nic's sentiments.

WOW, can't believe it took 17 pages for me to get that out.
