Jrue Holiday trade ideas

Has anyone mentioned New Orleans as a possible destination? He knows the city, at least, and I think it would be (a) a good sign of commitment by the franchise to Zion, and (b) he makes a good pairing with CJ. Plus they've got a decent amount of picks, and I'd take Dyson Daniels as part of the package.

He has a yr left on his deal followed by a player option. If we wait, teams could be potentially renting him for half a season. No way they offer more then vs now. Jrue's entire appeal to us is in his trade value. I'm not willing to affect that value with waiting and risking injury. Whatever insight Scoot can gain from Holiday, he can get from Chauncey.

I don't think one can undersell the impression Dame going to the Bucks makes on other Eastern contenders looking to keep pace right now. No one wants to get way down in the standings to the Bucks if they mesh, and, conversely, if it turns out Dame wasn't a good fit in place of Holiday, teams might not be as eager to trade for Jrue later.

I think you look at all that along with what you wrote and it's hard to imagine a scenario where his value isn't at its peak right now.

Yes, we discussed this. The consensus agrees with you. The issue is matching salaries. It is doable for sure but it would take about 4 players coming back to match salaries which they might not want to do. But they definitely have some good young SFs. (Jones, Daniels, Murphy that I would want. (plus Nance's salary)

Problem with Orleans is salary matching, would likely have to involve CJ and no thanks there!

Yes New Orleans , because of Herb Jones and possibly Dyson Daniels.

How do the salaries work?

I love the idea of Kuminga. A bit concerned that he's not a great rebounder given his size and athleticism, but that can be taught. He has the tools.

Paul+Kuminga+pick. Done and done. Buyout CP and call it a day.

Which would free up trading Grant... which I think is going to happen anyway.
