Jrue Holiday trade ideas (1 Viewer)

If we're talking strictly picks , it seems the Clippers would be the best to acquire.

Why's that? Because it's a positive result? Seems perfectly reasonable for both sides. I'd also want our pick back.

Interesting package for sure. We couldn't move Ball while he is injured, but next summer his ending contract might be helpful. What type of exemption if any can we get for a disabled player who is out for the year?

I liked Dalen Terry coming out of AZ but it seems like we are loading up with SFs who can play D but can't shoot. Still I think he has a lot of potential.

Patrick Williams seems like a good fit, but I just haven't seen him play.

been watching a bunch of terrance mann video today. not a bad guy to take a flyer on. he profiles as a sg/sf but everyone swings up a position these days anyway. he's older than OG which is shocking though

Yeah there's a reason the Clippers haven't been willing to give him up in the Harden deal. He's a plus defender with .520 and .390 shooting splits. Low volume, but he's a solid 2 way player. I'd love to get him in a Clippers deal. Not sure they let him go though.

I was listening to Zach Lowe and he said those two Clipper pics are very valuable because this team is old and will most likely suck in the future.

We keep saying Heat, but none of the reports of teams making offers mentions Miami.

That's like saying that "once Kobe retires the Lakers will suck." The Clips are now a FA destination because Ballmer throws money around like confetti.

Yup.

I would love that kinda deal.

- Williams (we could sign him for a discount as a RFA next yr)
- future first

Lonzo has 2 yrs left at 20 mil so I'd need our pick back as compensation.

Terry is meh. He didn't show anything of note his rookie year.

Think Chicago would do this too.

And is building a new arena. Has to put butts in the seats. They will be good in 2028 and 2030. Doesn't mean we can't take the deal if its the best available.

I don’t think I’d want Terry back. I think getting back one young guy would be enough, and PWill has shown he has a skillset we would desire.

I’d do PWill and take on Ball’s contract for the sole purpose of also getting 2+ unprotected 1sts.

Yeah, I just watched some PWill videos. he is better than I thought. He would be a good addition.
I did not realize he went #4 in 2020. Although it was a bad draft class.

If it's Chicago they send Jrue to, I'd be very happy with Williams, Caruso and a frp. Caruso is the type of player that would fit in almost any situation. This team needs defense, rebounding and good shooters that won't be unhappy if they don't get x amount of shots. That last one is the reason I'd take Williams rather than OG. Caruso is very underrated and his ability to guard 3 positions would be welcome on any team. Love to have those two and a pick.
Have to take Ball also to make the numbers work, right? And Portland would then be taking in an extra 3 million.

I'm guessinBall would be necessary for salary matching. I'm not familiar with his contract, but I know there's some question about him ever playing again. If he did play again, having him for limited minutes in a backup role would be great. A good defender and a very good pass first PG off the bench is more than we've had in a long time. I think he'd fit into the young culture pretty well, also.
One way to avoid taking Ball: send them Simons also and take back LaVine. Then trade La Vine?

To be fair, this was the season with no March Madness and limited avenues to scout the players due to Covid. Compared to many teams who whiffed, the Bulls actually landed a player that is still somewhat worthy of his draft selection. Okungwu, Haliburton, and Jalen McDaniels are the only notable players drafted behind him that I would take over him.

PWill really needs to be encouraged to jack up more 3’s and space the floor. Bulls were last in 3PA last year.

Scoot can score
Shaedon can score
Anfernee can score
Jerami can score
Ayton can score

In return for Jrue, I want a good rebounding PF so we can slide Grant to SF. If Markannen, no picks needed, otherwise need FRPs in addition.

Size matters.

Just look at Milwaukee frontcourt
Antetokounmpo
MIddleton
Brook Lopez
Robin Lopez
Portis
Crowder
Meyers Leonard

I’d want to take a chance on PWill. I’d be okay with Kuminga but all the Kuminga love makes it sound like we’d have to take back one less 1st, which I wouldn’t be willing to do for him. Jones can’t be traded till December. I’m not really sure there are any other young guys out there I’d want. Maybe Dieng but I would still want the picks.

what was the hangup on the asking price with harden/lac?
