I have one thing to say to both AMS_ice and Kidd. Guys, you seem to forget the most important thing about that Trade for Kidd. The reason why Kidd produced was because he got shipped out of the HARD WEST and got sent to the EASY EAST. Obviously a half decent player in the west at the time would do wonders in the east. In the meantime, Nash has never left the west, but I can guarantee one thing; Nash is a good player in the west and probably would be in the east, and Kidd couldn't cut it in the west and does a little better in the EAST. He's lucky he got traded. Playing sub-par teams will make anybody look good.

^Do you watch the NBA or are you just ignorant? East team's actually do play West teams, and the level of talent difference isn't that big. I believe 2 of the last 3 champions have been from the East. And from what I remember, Kidd's first two years, he lead his team to the finals.

A half decent player in the west would do wonders in the East? Please don't post garbage in the Nets forum. Kidd was an all-star on Phoenix too, genius. Shaq did considerably worse in his first season in Miami than his last in LA. Francis did worse in Orlando than Houston. There are a handful of guys who do better in the West than in the East, so to make that statement is just ridiculous.

Seriously, read the past post's. I placed Kidd's achievements while he was in Phoenix. Don't just come in and read the last page man. Do I have to lay it to you again 'coz your too lazy to read?! Check the facts first before making statements like "Kidd couldn't cut it in the west", it just makes you dumb!

Dude, what the west goes through is more gruelling in terms of skill. And after the west has used up their energy playing their best basketball. The east comes in and cleans what's left.

Hold on here. Shaq was injured for a good while in Miami when he came in "oh god of basketball". That was about injuries and not skill level, plus age. Did Miami not win because of Shaq this year

I'll admit the West is stronger in talent, yes, but that in no way means that a player will put up bigger numbers in the East than the West. In general, West teams are more offense, less defense, leading to more points scored in games. If anything, it will inflate the numbers of WC players. You said it yourself, the West is about "finesse and scoring, so therefore offensive output for players will be higher. If the East is for the "bangers", than why has Kidd been so successful? He is by no means a banger.

Yes, I have already said the West is stronger, but that will only lead to a marginal number of more wins, as they only play the weak teams once or twice more than the west. Also, it won't really lead to inflated player stats. Marbury played far better his first season with the Suns than he did as the main man on NJ. If you think that West players would put up better numbers in the East overall, then I don't know what to tell you, you obviously haven't payed much attention to the cross-conference trades the past few years. Okay, I'm from Winnipeg, doesn't mean I love hockey. You think Kidd is going to be some thug because he's from Brooklyn

Even when he was healthy, he was considerably worse than the previous years. His nagging toe injury affected him on LA as well, and he still played better his last year with LA. No, they didn't win because of Shaq. I think that guy by the name of Wade had something to do with their title. What did Shaq avg. like 13 and 8? That's role player numbers.

Maybe you should read what I wrote about Francis getting old, or do you NOT READ. The West is harder, dummy, and XSV agreed with it. Are you that obtuse that you have to fight that? Now you have taken it too far. Yes he and his wife had a problem....in which Kidd was wrong. He made a huge mistake and didn't look like a man at all. He realized it and they went to family therapy, and everything worked out well. I believe they had two more children after the incident, and his wife is always at the home games smiling. They gotten over so do the same.
