Who said hip-hop was confusing? No, Kanye doesn't make good hip-hop. Granted he has a few good songs, but so does 50 Cent. Overall, he's a phony with a gimmick that people fall for so easily.

I say he's a fake because he makes a conscious effort to disassociate himself from other rappers. If he was true, he wouldn't try to make himself different from everybody else, we'd be able to differentiate without him mentioning that he's different every other minute.
 
Yeah, that KRS album is straight fire and still nobody cares. I picked it up yesterday finally.

Wow...Kanye doesn't make good hip hop? I'm sure Chamillionaire does though doesn't he? TFOH...The College Dropout is a GREAT album...and Late Registration is good....what are you listening to? Kanye is a decent MC...and a talented beat maker..put two and two together.


Call him fake if you want to, your wrong, on all aspects of your argument. I could care less if he trys to say he is different from everybody else in his interviews, because he kinda IS different. If it was a gimmick than why doesn't he mention it in his music? Dude makes real songs, about real thing, that real people can relate to, while at the same time makes it commercial as well.

I mean you tell me Kanye doesn't make good hip hop which I find completely untrue, but your a Chamill fan, so why don't you tell me who does make good hip hop in this day and age.

well feud, competition, whatever, lol....it just seems like a very lame way to boost record sales for both individuals...........50 "might" outsell Kanye during the first week, but I believe overall West will prevail in record sales.......I won't be buying either so it doesn't really matter to me.....

its really 50 hyping it, kanye hasn't said anything, they asked him about it and he said he rather come in 2nd that week then 1st in anyother week. 50 is putting the if i get outsold ill quit and all that good stuff (like trying to get a debate with him wtf was that)

He has two CDs of material it's not much...why don't you get the albums or at least download them? Your never going to get full appreciation for an artist if you just look up single songs someone told you were their best.

LOL, I can't believe you that you're bringing Chamillionaire into this debate. How is Kanye a decent MC? I don't think you understand...if somebody was a gimmick would they actually tell you that they are a gimmick? Why don't I bring Lil'Wayne into this debate? We can talk about Fireman some more and how he kisses other men. Keep to the subject about Kanye or 50.

Well how is somebody a gimmick for saying they are different from everybody else when he kinda IS? It's not like him saying he is different is a marketing tool, he really is like that. How is Kanye not a decent MC? How does Kanye not make good hip hop? I don't know about you, but for me he makes music that I can relate to.

and bring Wayne into the discussion if you want, if I disagree with your opinion why can't I make a comparison? Is that some kind of rule on talking about hip hop or something?
 
I'm loving Graduation. The production is the best I've heard in a while.
 
I've changed my mind i have got to get the graduation after hearing i wonder.

Can't wait to buy Kanye's CD I'll probably buy 50's in a month.
 
Well I consider myself a fan of both, but its not even close. In terms of who has made the better product. Thats really all that matters to me, F who sells the most.
 
Just got graduation, to me its the best Kanye CD. I haven't heard Curtis and I don't plan on it eiher, no way 50 can even compare to Kanye on this one.
 
Bought Graduation today, best album I've bought in a long time. Kanye is sick, screw 50.

I've become disillusioned with both quite honestly. </p>

I think 50 Cent's Curtis is going to be a huge drop-off compared to his debut in 2003. </p>

Graduation might become a classic, but I'm sick of Kanye West and the dumb shit he says in the media. Going back to the Bush-Katrina comments, to the Grammys, andup to his VMA crap. Enough already.</p>

Talib's Eardrum is amazing, his best cd since Reflection Eternal and BlackStar IMO.About Ye's and 50s new albums, I downloaded both to sample them out and Kanyes is really the better of the two while I was struggling to like Curtis but just couldnt do it. Either way I still believe Curtis will outsell Graduation due to his large fanbase, not becuase its a better LP.</p>
