Just got back from Hawaii. They check vaccine passports everywhere.

Also, don't fly Hawaiian Airlines from LAX. They put them in some terminal that's in the international terminal AND it's like a mile walk from gate to curb

Which island again? I have only once had to show my vax card, and that was in the Honolulu airport. Otherwise, I've spent like 4-5 months in Hawaii over the last 11 months, and I've never had to pull out my vax card on the Big Island.

Oahu, even eating in an open air foodcourt (Royal Hawaiian) they checked. Even having drinks on an outdoor patio they checked.

The CLEAR pass saved me from pulling out my drivers license a bunch of times though, as they have a photo in the app.

Landed in PDX from Memphis around 2:30 am last night and we walked out the front door for the airport at 5:30am. I’m beat!

Told my wife I want to rent THIS one next time!!! One can dream.

We had some very deep-pocketed friends rent a 7-bedroom oceanfront home with a pool last year for a big group of friends. It’d be a sick way to live. If I had that kind of money….

That being said, we’re happy with our little slice of paradise. After a chill hour or two on the beach, went to the local cantina for some bomb tacos and now sitting outside and enjoying the singing of coqui frogs right now.

dunno how anyone can’t get down with the islands…

Those are some great pics!

We're headed to Maui next month. My wife got some type of bonus week thru a time-share she's had for years. We'll be flying points and companion pass, so lodging and air are handled. The resort is in Kehei, which appears to be off-the-beaten-path a bit. That's OK, though!

Weird you say that. On the west side of the island there is something called Russian Fort.
