What Kavanaugh said;

"I went to an all-boys Catholic high school, a Jesuit high school, where I was focused on academics and athletics, going to church every Sunday at Little Flower, working on my service projects, and friendship, friendship with my fellow classmates and friendship with girls from the local all girls Catholic schools.

And yes, there were parties. And the drinking age was 18, and yes, the seniors were legal and had beer there. And yes, people might have had too many beers on occasion and people generally in high school – I think all of us have probably done things we look back on in high school and regret or cringe a bit, but that’s not what we’re talking about."

================================================
What he SHOULD have said!

"I’m not proud of everything I did when I was young; I doubt any of us are. But growing up means learning from our mistakes, in part so we can help our children grow into responsible adults. When I look back now I realize that my friends and I reveled in our own privilege — we were male, white, rich, and destined to have limitless opportunities laid before us. We drank too much. We treated the young women we knew like objects, or potential conquests, or the butt of jokes. We certainly didn’t empathize with them. If we had, we would have understood how our own behavior made them feel; how it could make them feel vulnerable, degraded, even victimized. We would have understood that those feelings can stay with a person for life, and be a source of pain and anguish, even if you were never the victim of a crime.

We can look back now and say that we can’t expect that kind of empathy from a teenager. But it’s exactly what we should expect. Even if we weren’t capable of it then, today’s teenagers can be, if we use our own failings to teach them to be better than we were. That’s what I’ve tried to do as an adult."

That is fucking retarded

That would be dumb of him to do. "To make things more convenient and easy" isn't how you get things done.

Its clearly a charade, not a parade. Democrats continue to be exposed as petty, partisan hacks that will go to desperate and unethical lengths in the name of their party, even weaponizing sexual abuse claims.
A third woman has accused him. Bottom line: He's done. If he gets nominated, proof positive the system is officially fucked up. No matter what party wants his departure, he still has three women who have accused him.

True. If he does get through, every single case he touches will be called into question and be stained by this.

...yup, and if they go ahead and confirm him, and afterwards these allegations turn out to be credible the GOP will be doomed in November.

The system is already fucked because of these partisan delays and charlatan tactics by the left. There was already a background check (6 times) by the FBI. They had plenty of time to bring forth any witnesses and they only came at the very last minute (Feinspy sat on it until the end).

They are uncorroborated, the second accuser is likely total crazy and unreliable (multiple publications had the info but didn't feel it met up to their journalistic standards). The third one, who knows what the fuck that's all about. I mean there were 10+ gang rape parties, yet no other credible information about it exists?

Just more dirty politics by the DNC, as is their usual Modus Operandus.

Its fucked up because of partisan bullshit on bothsides. Both sides play dirty. I don't care for it. I don't like when someone calls out one side while pretending the other is saintly.

I'm not worried.

Whether he gets in or not, whatever, not gonna really affect my life. I'm not super political to begin with because I got jaded by this BS the Democrats (and the Republicans before) pull. Its pure bullshit, this country exists on conflict between two parties.

I agree. I don't like the republicans either. The Dems continue to do this, then the republicans will pull similar shit in the future. Endless cycle of one man-upsmanship. This is clearly a delay tactic and these accusations should have come through at the proper time and not have dropped strategically at the last minute.

I agree. It's a delay tactic. I don't like it. But, I am not going to denounce these wome because of it. They deserve to be heard, regardless. This is serious.

...well, it sounds like it has finally sunk in.

Again that's a good question. Here is a reasonable answer. She was a young and unpopular. She sought acceptance and validation. Even though she saw what was happening, maybe at the time she didn't realize how terrible it was. Maybe she excused it to retain a path to popularity, to being wanted. Why did she wait so long? Shame. A large percent of women never come forward to report rape. Now in the time of me too, women feel empowered to finally come forward.

She partied with kids 3 years younger than her. High school kids when she was in college (assuming she went to college). How can a college girl get popular hanging with HS kids a town away?

Do you think the republicans were correct for withholding 90% of the documents regarding Kavanaugh and not allowing all parties involved the proper information? How can anyone make a judgement if only 10% was put forward? Seems like maybe they are trying to hide things.

No.

Oh I thought it was the other way around

I'm going to stay away from this site for a while. There are some disgusting people here. Peace out everyone.

Well they have had plenty of time to make those available

...lol...@ assuming that all of the youngsters at parties are the same age....derp.

Sure, if this actually happened, it doesn't excuse it.

psst, that's why real Americans are willing to see an investigation happen to determine how truthful the allegations are. I wouldn't blame the democrats for trying to get a court order for all the documents to be released and give a week to review them and then continue with the hearing. Why are trump supporters so quick to dismiss stuff and try and rush it through. I'd feel the same way if it was the opposite parties but here you are showing your bias by claiming the women are lying. No wonder you guys were labeled deplorables.

Again, there was plenty of time to bring this up in the proper channels (i.e., not a last minute delay tactic). Multiple FBI Background checks, plenty of opportunity to bring this out other than 2 days before a vote.

Only a week? Why not a month? A Year? 2 Years?
