And now he is my mod!!! Fucking wonderful.

...in that case perhaps you should reassess your approach to posting and responding to other posters. I'm not talking about your position or political affiliation/stance but instead, the way you interact and relay your stance to other posters. You really need to get over this idea that you are being persecuted.

Ah now this is a genuine concern. How many tons of paper would it take to change one of the 10 democrat votes from Nay to Yah?
How much more time would be need for that vote?

...that could be applied both ways...how many tons of paper would it take to change one of the 11 GOP votes from "Yah to Nay"?

So you accept holding back evidence as being okay? Not surprising considering the source

But what's the charge? "At some point, in a place and time I don't remember, 36 years ago, when one or both of us may or may not have been drunk (but not "blackout drunk"), he sexually assaulted me"?
He already said that at no time did he assault her. The people she said witnessed it said they didn't witness anything. The "trigger" for her seeing a therapist (the "PTSD" from 2012 causing her to have 2 front doors installed) is, at least per basic investigation into permits, 5 years off and made for a rental entrance. She said he doesn't fly, and yet flew all over the place for polygraphs, vacations, etc.
I sympathize with the plight of women who've been abused and assaulted...when I ask similar questions to this on my FB page I get a lot of responses from women who have actual, verifiable stories of horror who've been forced silent over the years. So many that it's heartbreaking to me. Not just for their loss, but because "society" (be it their family, their school, their church, law enforcement, the courts) let them down and in many cases allowed the perpetrator to continue onto other victims. You guys know me...I've been very outspoken that I'm in favor of the death penalty for rape. If there were allegations that could even remotely be justified, I'm all for consequences coming down harshly.

I also have enough memory to realize that the Duke Lacrosse Team got
Brian Banks spent 5 years in jail for a crime he didn't commit.
Look up Nikki Yovino. Or farther back (I had to look up the name, but "fake rape new york garbage bag kkk" search came up) Tawana Brawley

Having 2 X chromosomes doesn't compel one to truth any more than anyone else. By all means investigate (I think that 3 weeks of all this has answered some questions and shown that some answers aren't there), but all the "I'm with her" folks still have yet to show me how any of her story holds water. :dunno:

Tl/dr... Charge?

What are you talking about? This is s job interview that he's performing horribly in. Plain and simple. He's also lied several times in his questioning.

Keep defending a lying sexual assaulter. I'm not...

As I've said, that's fair. But do you think that his "clear political bias" (I mean, dude worked personally for W and investigated the Clintons) has been unrevealed until now? How did it affect his other case law? How did Kagan's clerkship for Marshall (known to be both partisan and activist) affect her confirmation or rulings?

If you think his anger disqualifies him, that's fine. If you think calling out people who (if he's right) made shit up out of thin air to destroy his life for the sake of not getting a 5th conservative seat on the Court is inappropriate, then I disagree but understand.

You think this lady is making this all up out of thin air. I don’t. He lied. While being sworn to tell the truth. He cried and yelled. Lying, crying, yelling...that’s for my 4th grader not a Supreme Court Justice.

Again. For the 100th time. Just find another rich white old man for this position. I’m sure there are several non sexual assaulters to choose from for the Republicans. Right?

I don't know. I've not seen anything close to "evidence" presented, and the stuff that has been discussed in detail by her have either been refuted by witness or are of dubious truth. And I've said repeatedly that if he did what she said he did then he should be held accountable.

He lied. While being sworn to tell the truth. He cried and yelled. Lying, crying, yelling...that’s for my 4th grader not a Supreme Court Justice.
As I said, fair enough.

See Post 1525. There are even ones that aren't rich, old, white or male! It's as if they're selected for being good at what they do, rather than because of their demographics.

Hilarious but really. Just get another Republican who fits the mold. Someone who will make their base happy.

I would love to hear about the superior demographic group where you fit in. But I don't expect you to answer.
I do suspect though that same shit will be pulled on who ever is next nominated to the court.

Oh I am that demographic. That’s me. Although I’m mid 40’s not feeling too old yet. But i don’t want rich white men in control of everything. I like diversity and I trust almost any other segment of the population more than a bunch of entitled old white men who think they know what’s best for everyone. That’s the difference maybe between you and I. I don’t think people just like me are the best/most equipped to make decisions. I want everyone involved. I think we have enough evidence that white conservatives care about certain segments of the population a whole lot more than others.

How do you explain that that 'same shit' wasn't pulled on Gorsuch?

C'mon man....is that my MO?

Not your MO, but I'm not sure what you posted here proves your claim. I certainly don't know what the truth is here, but the people involved claim they were just paying the inevitable fines, not paying protesters per se. If you've got evidence that the word went out "come protest Kavanaugh and make $$$", then I'd accept that. Sounds more like they offered to pay fines for those that showed up on their own.

But I could be wrong, and maybe you have better evidence?

The Flake confronter is co-executive director of a community advocacy group that is Soros-backed. No judgement there, people can accept money from whoever they want to, but it's kind of a fact.

It is a fact, yes. But what does that fact mean? Do you think Soros paid her specifically to go to that elevator and make up a story that she was assaulted to tell Jeff Flake? Like if she was sick that day he would have paid someone else to do it?

Oh, I answered for the wrong guy so I deleted it.
The answer to your question, as I heard it, was they did not want to raise a ruckus over Gorsuch as he was a replacement for the conservative Scalia.
But the replacement of liberal judges was going to be opposed without restraint, no holds bared.

That's not even close to true. Try to remember that Merrick Garland was intended by the Democrats to be the replacement for Scalia.

No, I don't...I'd seen a headline and looked up some of the background on it and just kind of distilled it into "Soros-backed". I'm certainly not willing to jump up and down that it's not what you say or that his reps called that person specifically for a specific thing. Just that Soros' money, I don't know the right word....abetted? Funded? Supplemented? Inspired?...the protests at the hearing and at Flake's elevator confrontation. Maybe it was a coincidence or after-the-fact "thanks for your support--lemme pay your fine."

Ah yes I remember Garland. But what is not true? Are you disputing I heard this said, or are you pronouncing it untrue? Not going to argue either, with you, but what has that to do with Garland?

I am not disputing that you heard it. I am saying that it is not true that Dems 'didn't want to raise a ruckus' about Gorsuch.

There wasn't a hearing about Gorsuch's sexual assaults simply for the reason that no women (or men) ever accused Gorsuch of sexual assault.
