Plain and simple....

And I don't give a fuck what any of y'all have to say...

It's Friday...

I'm fresh off 4 Smith & Forge Hard Ciders (6% ALC/VOL)....

And I'm pissed like a MF...

These MOTHERFUCKERS are really gonna try to overturn Roe V Wade.....

Women are gonna die because of this... In back Alley abortions...

Jesus....

If men could have babies.... There would be abortion clinics like STARBUCKS around this MF!!

Shameful.... So shameful....

The real shame is when they overturn Affirmative Action.

That law has helped more white women than any other demographic (Do your research before you comment on that).

I've never gotten any job because I was black, I'm good at what I do.

This. Though it's been interesting on 538 that the chances of the D's getting the house went from over 90% to 74% in the last couple of weeks. R's are now projected 77% of the time to keep the Senate. Those aren't using polls from after the 3rd, so it could be different. The logic has been that the R's pushing Kavanaugh through would help in the Senate and hurt in the House, but the trends (again: "polling") aren't showing that.

November's going to be interesting.

Member when those guys picked Trump to lose?

What's the case that is going to be brought up about it? Out of ignorance, I don't know how it would happen. I don't think that, if there were 5 who did want to overturn Roe v. Wade ( though I think that Casey v. PP is the more at-risk case) or AA, they can just say "hey guys, we're going to revisit this one." One of my friends is counsel on Joe Kennedy's case that is likely going to the Supreme Court as a 1A issue. That suit was originally brought in 2015, iirc, and it isn't yet on the 2019 docket.

As we've previously discussed, I think Casey was an overreach of the judges, whether or not you want abortions legal for people to use, and I know that's not everyone's opinion. And while I think that AA does more harm than good, I'll defer to others on that because at least some people are being helped. (Though I've been reading more about Candace Owens lately, and she seems to have some good points vis-a-vis the African-American community and their voting choices hurting them). I just don't know how what you're saying would happen.

Then again, I'm also a cigar and scotch in tonight, so maybe it's popcorn time? :)

That's exactly my point. And I don't like Silver's methodology at all with the "running totals" piece. I'm not saying I think those things will happen, but just as a delta between two data points among the same polls. I think we all learned in 2016 that pollsters (and the people who analyze them and write about them) can be agenda-having clowns. Some could argue that it hurt the D's because they thought "Well hell, if HRC is going to win in a landslide, I'm not going to take off work early and go out of my way to vote." Conversely, some could say "people went to vote for the 'winner', and that tamped down the desire for R's to go vote for someone who was going to lose anyway." I think the moral of the story is: "Go Do Your Civic Duty and Vote, even if you think Mickey Mouse is the best choice as a write-in."

I actually read the down-ballot stuff, like the Water Commissioner.

Not gonna happen, as we all know very well.

I notice a theme with how you think about everything... no accountability... it’s always someone else’s fault. Mad at the world instead of focusing on your own life.

The real shame is that abortion is legal and media frames it as pro choice... killing a baby should not be a choice... deciding to have sex is a choice... deciding to give a baby up for adoption is a choice... in your world anyone can do anything they want with no rules or consequences... very sad

Not your choice to make. Not mine either. Not any man. Men have no right to decide what women do with their bodies.

And its not a baby. Its a fetus without a heartbeat. It is not living. I don't agree with abortions anyway. Safe sex and adoption are better options in my mind as well. But, again not my choice. Not your choice.

You can literally kiss my ass bro. I don't give a fuck what you think.

You like to govern women's bodies.

You believe this why? How did you garner your opinion on AA? How can you hold an opinion on something if you don't have all the info?

Conjecture.

And you shouldn't listen to ONE word that uncle Tom ASS bitch Candace had to say. She's the equivalent is Samuel L. Jackson's character in Django. She can suck a WHOLE donkey dick...

Nobody ever has all the info on anything. We both have opinions on Kavanaugh without knowing all the info, yet we base it on what we do have. As a guy who has been both a hiring manager and who in his free time worked with some struggling people in my city and took the time to learn welfare and workforce rehabilitation programs, I know a bit about AA. I know that Washington basically removed it from the State's hiring process through Initiative 200. But I also know that I don't know everything about it, so if someone has a different story or manner that it works (or doesn't) for them I'm not going to pooh-pooh it. I'm a lifetime learner.

I feel like she has a point, and a frame of reference I don't, in speaking of the concept of "economic privilege" vs. "white privilege". And (again, as we've discussed) I don't know why the African-American community has historically voted 90%+ for (D) candidates, even ones that get crushed like Mondale, when no other demographic has such a strong correlation to almost anything...yet she points out that it's partially because any in that community talk about leaving the D party they get turned upon. (See: Ben Carson, Herman Cain, Clarence Thomas, Kanye, Thomas Sowell). I'm not saying all those people are perfect or perfect representatives, but it's not something that I can or should rail about. Seems like she can, especially since it's happening with her. :dunno:

To me its kind of sad that this recent circus want about the ladies claim at all.
It was all about abortion!
And both parties no it 100%

You're missing the point. Race is a social construct that is abhorrent. Except when a black person isn't a democrat. Then they're an uncle tom ass bitch or something.

Why don't you guys who endorse just admit you believe he is guilty but don't care because it is more important to you to have a conservative supreme court.

Why don’t you guys against just admit you know it’s a false accusation with the political motivation of continuing to allow women to kill baby’s because they were irresponsible sexually

There is no political motivation in my views on Kanvanaugh and his sexual assault of Ford and others.

I have already said I don't neccessairly agree with abortions. Its not killing a baby. The fetus is not living, there is no heartbeat.

Again abortions have nothing to do with my view of Kavanaugh

Can I tell a post to stfu? or that it's a fucking moron? Probably not.

A big difference between people in general, and seems to be chasm between conservatives vs liberals, is this: some people don't know how to mind their own fucking business. If it doesn't affect you, then fuck off.

Stop fucking judging. Stop being so goddamn hypocritical. It reminds me of a fucking parrot saying the same shit every other fucking parrot says.

As I have stated, I believe that he is not guilty of what he has been accused of. I believe that there was not enough evidence to give any of the claims any credence.

Why don't you guys who endorse just admit you believe he is guilty
If that was the case, then sure. Since even the FBI said there was no evidence, it becomes a political version of the Duke Rape Case. Until something else comes out.
Now, if you want to be Rasta and say that it's his "temperament under fire" that's an issue, by all means. I don't even disagree.
but don't care because it is more important to you to have a conservative supreme court.
It's very important for me to have a strict constitutionalist Supreme Court, but I don't get to vote on that. Or else it would've been over the last 30 years. But, news flash, anyone on Trump's "short list" was going to make it a conservative court, so that straw man don't hunt. I shudder to think what's going to be the reason that people who don't want a strict constitutionalist court come up with when Barrett or Larsen takes over for RBG or someone like Thupar or Kethledge for Breyer.

How is there no political motivation??? And what makes here credible when there is no evidence, no corroboration, all witnesses she named denied it... and her friend that worked for Obama FBI sent text messages to Leland Keizer to get her to changes her story... the whole thing was a sham... and people like you will believe anything CNN tells you

The words you're missing from that sentence are "alleged", "unfounded" and "disproven".

I have already said I don't neccessairly agree with abortions. Its not killing a baby. The fetus is not living, there is no heartbeat.
You've said this twice, I don't feel like you're using the definition that most of the world uses for that. If you're saying abortions should happen up until the heartbeat is there, that's a position that a ton of people would take. That's not the law of abortion, especially not Roe v. Wade or Casey v. PP.

Again abortions have nothing to do with my view of Kavanaugh
OK.

Edited. Keep it above board. There's not going to be much leeway on this thread.

Just talking to the underlying point here, you can't say "if it doesn't affect you, stfu" when that's what society is most definitely not. Don't get me wrong, I'm ok with going hard-core stripped-down gov't libertarian. But what that means is: "If you can't take care of your own health care, fuck you. Not my business." "You can't pay for your kids to go to school? Fuck you, not my business." "Your kid ends up in the morgue b/c of drug abuse pushed by a dealer on your street corner? Doesn't affect me, fuck you--move somewhere where there aren't dealers on the corner." Etc. I think we'd all agree that, personal views on abortion aside, minding business isn't what our country was set up for over the last century.

Party bro ain't repealing Roe v Wade. He'll think about his past......

It's not about making rules for party bros. It's about making rules for the masses. I don't guess that Roe will be literally overturned, but 'states rights' will be enforced such that there are no abortions available except in the NE and the west coast. Kavanaugh's daughters will still be able to get abortions. Trump voters will not.

Less than 1/10 of 1% of abortions are due to rape... so that means 99.99 percent of abortions are due to irresponsible sex... so instead of expecting more accountability for people, you want to allow women to kill the baby... constantly making excuses... and who are you to decide at what point a pregnancy becomes a person... do you believe in God or have a soul? How do you know when the soul enters the organism?
