I would call it, with holding consent. As the Democrats would love to do now. Consent of the Senate is required, whether it comes or not, is with the power in the Senate.:cool2:
 
So what’s going on now?

The accuser has come forward and several Republican senators have said we need to delay the vote and have a more thorough hearing.

I’m betting his name is withdrawn (either by Trump or by Kavanaugh by the end of the week,
 
...while I understand that they don't want another conservative SC appointee, seems to me that the Dems are really going overboard by waiting till this late in the game to introduce this kind of smear on Kavanaugh...I mean geeez, this shit allegedly happened 36 freaking years ago when he was 17 and the girl was 15.

...retroactive sexual correctness for something that happened that long ago is really stretching things IMO...back in the day when I was a teen it was kinda expected for a guy to try to make a move on a girl...and when she giggled a bit and said "no, quit", you tried again. Nothing violent, but you still tried so if for nothing else, you could tell your buds on Monday at school that you at least got to 2nd base.

...so going by today's moral standards, I should have been jailed long ago.

That really doesnt matter at all, its an excuse that establishment democrats use to excuse the DNCs obvious bias toward Clinton. Bernie brought new blood and ideas to the democratic party and was shit on. The same people who say this also blame Clintons loss in the general to Bernie bros not showing up for her.

Either something happened between the two (Kavanaugh and Ford) or it didn't, do you agree?

You are suggesting that something happened but it should be forgiven. Maybe, although it sounds substantially more violent than what you describe. Did you cover girls mouths so no one would hear them scream? Me neither.

However... Kavanaugh claims nothing happened. So if something happened, he's lying, which should be disqualifying for a supreme court position.

If nothing happened, then of course there is nothing to forgive and forget.

Since he's already been caught lying to congress, I think it's pretty likely he's lying again, but I can't know for sure.

His replacement will be just as conservative, so there really isn't any gain for Democrats other than preventing another sex offender from getting on the court.

And some of those 65 are now 'no comment' after finding out who the accuser is.

And the other person, Mark Judge, has written books about being a high school drunk with his friend Kavanaugh.

And 200+ former classmates of her have stepped forward to say they believe her. So what?

Sanders was an independent and then realized his only chance for the presidency would be to run as a democrat and as soon as the election was over he went back to his senate seat as an independent.
