This is absolutely pathetic. How can these people live in the real world?

Why is it shocking. Just look at the few we have in this forum. They pretty much have the same value system and couldn't care less about ethics as long as there party is there being represented.

Sorry Hoop! But I just can't buy it.

This isn't about party, it only has become that in recent years.
This now is about whether we follow the Constitution and amend it by the prescribed process or we let un-elected Judges amend it as they see fit.

The beauty of the Constitution is the stability it provides in that it takes a super majority to change it. This is totally lost if we have judges that change it as they see fit rather than following what it says. This has been going on now for the past 40 years and is making things worse as we go rather than correctly fixing what should be. We no longer even try.
Personally, Much of this about abortion? I understand that.
Im pro life but have issues with Kav. and would vote for either a demo or repub depending how I felt about certain issues. I know rep friends that would vote a straight conservative ticket.
I know pro choice friends and most would vote a straight liberal ticket. The main issue is abortion.

This is why the evangelical community leans right is because most are pro life.
This is why the LGBT community leans left they are pro choice.

This is why Im a libertarian minority, but I think we are growing because people are getting fed up with politics!

The reaction from Lindsey after Samuel says to shut up or whatever... I was crying from laughter. lmao.

Me as well that was fucking hilarious

After reading through this entire thread, my conclusion is that there's only two ways this can play out.

1. Either this will end up with more posts than the Melo to Portland thread, if there is a lengthy FBI investigation.

Or

2. The thread will get locked because too many people spontaneously combust, if Kavanaugh is appointed.

Brave man to subject yourself to this entire thread

Yeah, heads will explode

I wasn't able to watch the hearings live due to work, but yeah. It as just as torturous, from what I've read here and in the news.

How ‘bout we just find another person who maybe hasn’t raped or assaulted someone. People keep saying this is not a legal case but a job interview. Ok. Pretty sure next time I’m interviewing for a job and i say hey it’s not confirmed yet but people are saying I used to sexually assault people but let’s not get into the weeds on that ok? I probably won’t get that job.
Because it’s literally illegal for an employer to bring that up in a job interview.

If the employer knows about it your not gonna get hired
If the employer wants to fight a lawsuit that generally gives big damages, sure. Better Make sure it never comes out as even a plausible explanation for not getting the job.

That didn’t happen here. Either we can dispense with the bullshit that this is a “job interview”, or we can approve of illegal means used for political purposes. I am ok either way.

All they have to say is he wasn't the best candidate for the job.

You’ve not been a hiring manager before, have you? Not being snarky, but there is waaaaay more that goes into it than that. You have to be able to justify it to at least a potential arbiter or mediator WHY any particular individual (especially after interviews) wasn’t chosen.

I don’t think, in this case, his Cv allows you to do that. Ergo, not a job interview. Not saying it’s not worth investigating, but you don’t get it both ways.
