Does anyone else think that Portland is not really all that weird? Its a great family place, liberal, healthy. I lived in SF and that was weird. But Portland? A little eclectic maybe, but not very weird.

Some parts of downtown and south-east are "weird", as are many of the people. there's a whole culture of street people and hippie-indie types still.

In essence, it's about keeping Walmart out of Portland.

Austin, Texas totally jacked this slogan

I dunno, hundreds of beggars downtown pooping in doorways and vomiting on people's shoes, liberals starting houses on fire that belong to conservatives, Portlanders celebrating the raising of taxes.... seems weird to me.

Portland hasn't been weird in a long time.
