I'm so psyched. I was the top story on the KEZI 6:30 news today and I wore my Damian Lillard rookie of the year shirt so I looked like a total badass. It is supposed to run again at 11pm. If you're in the Eugene area, check it out.

well done, Eric. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Though I'm not sure "total badass" is what I'd call the look, no matter what t-shirt you're wearing. ;)

Record it and put it on youtube. I'll watch it.

Eric, I said at the time and I still say, with your cherub face, they should have brought you back as an evil genius super villain. Those ass clowns at Bones blew it. Maybe the show's producers and writers simply lack the talent and the drive to pull it off, IDK.

Can anyone else do this? I'm in a hotel.

Thanks, man.

To fans of the Fox TV show "Bones," Eric Millegan will always be the character Zack Addy, the brilliant, socially-awkward forensic anthropologist who helped solve crimes for the FBI.
Millegan, who was raised in Oregon and graduated from Springfield High School, was a cast member on the show for the first three seasons before his character, in a major season-ending plot twist, was written off the show (although Millegan has returned for three guest spots).

Millegan also is a serious Trail Blazers fan who used to post regularly on this website under the name "The Fan" and on NBA.com. He even sang the national anthem at a Blazers game against Minnesota on Dec. 28, 2007 --- the 12th game of the team's 13-game winning streak.

Although he lives in New York, Millegan is back in Oregon this week to offer a one-night performance of his critically-acclaimed cabaret show Saturday at the Wildish Community Theater in Springfield.

We asked him about being a Blazers fan and his views on the current team.

Q: How long have you been a Blazers fan, and how did you become one?

A: "I became a fan in 1989. I would listen to the games on the radio, especially the ones against the Lakers. Even then, my favorite wins were against the Lakers.

"That season, we went to the Finals. When we tied the series against the Pistons in Game 2 thus taking home court advantage, my brother Jeffrey and I were already fantasizing about how many titles we would win in a row. When we lost the series, I was devastated. After blowing it in 1991 and 1992, I was hooked. I wanted to see the team win a title and my fandom became a parade of, wait until next years. I won't give up on this team."

Q: How often do you watch games these day?

A: "I watch every game and I usually go to about 10 of the games live."

Q: What do you consider the high point of your being a Blazers fan?

A: "Gosh, one of my favorite recent memories was the 13-game win streak in 2007-2008. We didn't even make the playoffs but that team was fun to watch. I went to 21 games live that year. I took trips all around the country. In total, I've seen the Blazers play in 24 different arenas.

"Oh wait, how could I forgot [Brandon] Roy's Game 4 heroics in 2011? That was amazing. I sat court side for that game and was crying my eyes out, it was so amazing."

Q: What do you think of the current state of the franchise?

A: "I like what [general manager Neil] Olshey has done in the last 10 days. We're so much deeper, we have a strong defensive presence in the middle in Robin Lopez, and I have a feeling [Damian] Lillard is going to become a superstar this season. I'm very optimistic."

Q: What do you think of the team's other off-season moves?

A: "Very excited about [Allen] Crabbe and [Dorell] Wright. Very hopeful about Thomas Robinson."

No mention of CJ McCollum.... you only fuel his fire Eric. He probably has a picture of you on his wall with a couple darts through it :devilwink:

Great article! Would've like to see the TV interview as well.

P.S. Bones jumped the shark when Dr. Addy went to prison. Seriously, he was my favorite (the character was sort of a sweet Sheldon Cooper, Big Bang Theory, before Sheldon Cooper existed) and none of the interns that came after that were anywhere near as appealing. I kept hoping they'd figure out how to prove Zach innocent and bring him back but it didn't happen and I stopped watching the show consistently.

Bones is suffering from the same problems of almost every long running show in the history of TV. They've explored all the main plot objectives. It has run its course. Half of the appeal of the show was the sexual tension between Boothe and Brennan. When that ended, the show really lost its steam. One thing that annoys me about TV, and this isn't necessarily about Bones, but I get annoyed when the overall plot idea isn't interesting enough for the writers so they get caught up in the trivial interactions between the characters. A good example of this is "White Collar." I really liked that show, but they hardly ever focus on the main concept, which is an ex-con helping the FEDs catch con men, and instead they write about these weird offshoot plots and absurd twists that are extremely unrealistic. Why can't they just have them solving crimes?

I notice the same thing in Law & Order SVU, NateBishop. Some of the plots have gotten so convoluted. And I'm still waiting for Ken and Alejandro to get married; their engagement was a season and a half ago!

Seriously, good to see KingSpeed alive & well.

Best wishes, KingSpeed. Somehow you've got to network better around the networks. Maybe you should live in Hollywood. I hate the place, which destroyed my budding stardom, apparently, well something must have happened, but maybe you could live there in the cooler months to network the honchos and big cheeses, and live in New York in the warmer months.

Anyway, as idealists say, it's all in who you know. Follow my advice and you can't go wrong.
