Just saw on Facebook that Kellogg Bowl is closing for good (I hope that eventually it will re-open under new owners).

Never heard of it. Is it somewhere between Milwaukee and Oregon City?

Dave Husted named his son Champ is funny.

My high school was pretty close to Gladstone Bowl, so we had 3 weeks of bowling in freshman PE. Dave Husted was friends with the PE teacher so he would show up and give us pointers.

I remember when it opened and bowled there a lot. As teenagers we'd go there and play pool, late at night.

Pretty sure you can still have a Kellog's bowl at home whenever you want -- they still sell many different kinds of cereal in all major grocery stores :dunno:

No, Kellogg Bowl is west of Oregon City, so it's not between Milwaukee (Wi) and Oregon City.
West of Oregon City is West Linn.

The only reason I had an inkling of where it might be is because I visited Kellogg lake about 50 or so years ago.

Oh, Champ is the dad? I didn't know.

The Champ that was part of the ownership group of Kellogg is, I believe, the father. Maybe Dave named his son (I assume he had a son?) after him?

I saw the thread title and immediately thought of some obscure college football bowl game closing because of Covid.

3 of my kids went there. I went to Puts Rectum.

Where my parents live the school district line goes through the middle of the house. The school districts determine which school you go to by which bedroom you sleep in. If I would have moved to the other bedroom I could have gone to Rex Putnam.

Tough time for bowling alleys. They aren’t that popular these days as it is

I once considered becoming a professional bowler. I've bowled at Kellogg many times. Mike's drive-in was da bomb!

I've dreamed of being a professional boxer, tennis player, football player, basketball player, soccer player, baseball player, nuclear physicist, mathematician, engineer, cowboy, policeman, fireman and a professional finish carpenter but never a professional bowler. Did you consider it because of the fact that it's a chick magnet job?
