I was all over Collison this summer and posted ideas how to get him. Apparently, our prudent "general manager" (aka traveling secretary Cho) wasn't even in on the game, let alone competing.

At this point, anybody not laughing at the ineptitude of this organization seems clueless to me. Now they are sending out Men With Hats to judge either talent or the coach, or both. Will somebody please make a sitcom out of this?

Okay so you're saying he's part of the plan because his contract says he'll be here for five years, but

A) we don't know that for sure

and

B) Just because he's on the team doesn't mean he's part of "the plan". Darius Miles was on the team for years, but wasn't part of the longterm plan. We have no idea what Roy's future holds, so we can't assume that he's going to be a part of the future here.

Miles' contract was certainly a part of the plan, even though he was basically The Gimp by the time it fucked over the Blazers.

Not including Roy, or at least his contract, in any 'long-term' plan seems naive to me at best, and ignorant at worst.
