The Nets are pretty much in a situation where they are going to have to match Martin's offers. Or be stuck without a bigman next year because all the good cheape bigbodies onthe Free Agent market are locked up in contracts already. And the Nets dont have the trade bait to acquire a good bigman in a trade without using Martin in a sign & trade.
The Nets (if trading kidd isnt an option) only have two tradable players, Kerry Kittles & Kenyon Martin. The Blazers seemed somewhat interested in trading Reef for Kittles but that deal faded away pretty fast. And I dont think to many other teams are going to be willing to giveup a good bigbody for Kittles, which means the K-Mart becomes their only real from of acquiring a bigbody to replace him, so they are going to have to match any offer imo, even if its to do a sign & trade deal(but hopefully not, if we re-sign him, K-Mart needs to stay).
