If they kicked in an unprotected first, would you take on Bargnani's salary, Valanciunas and Ross for Aldridge and say Williams?

My first reaction is to gag.... mostly because I hate Bargs.
Ya, I feel the same way, I do love Big V and Ross has all kinds of upside
Toronto already has a pick outstanding to Oklahoma via Houston.
Top 3 protected and 15-30 in 2013, top 2 protected and 15-30 in 2014 and '15, Top 1 protected and 15-30 in 2016 and '17, and unprotected in 2018.
AKA the Andrew Wiggins guarantee.
If the Raptors got a top three pick this summer, and were to swap with Portland, that would negate that rule. Would it not?

Don't you have to make a first round pick every two years? Maybe the Raps would pick-and-trade to circumvent.
I phrased that wrong. If the Blazers and Raps were to swap picks, wouldn't it negate the rule?

BTW I think JoVa, Ross, and Noel would be kind of expensive for LA. Just sayin'.
But we can't swap, because WE don't have a pick either. If a pick is involved, it'd have to be a draft day trade.
I was talking about in June when we know if both teams have picks. Blazers is top 13 protected, Raps is top 3 protected.

Sorry, I missed your initial mention of that, just completely passed it over. You're correct. But then that doesn't help the value as much. Moving up a few spots, compared to just getting a pick outright. Especially if you shift the deal to Bargnani and Derozan and just a swap of picks. Bargs is almost negative value at this point.
Sure, would have sucked to only have 11. But we gave up Wallace in that deal. Big difference, IMO, than giving up LMA to move up 8 spots. Bargs hurts the value of it. I don't think I'd do LMA and our pick for Derozan and their pick. Adding Bargs makes it worse.
Well, you would be moving up 8 spots AND getting DeRozan in the deal I was proposing. We pretty much got nothing but the pick out of the Wallace deal.
Yeah, the 6th for Wallace is great. And the benefit even more so was we got it outright, not swapping, like you are proposing. It gave us two picks towards a rebuild. Yours gives us 1. I can maybe see some argument for Aldridge and pick for derozan and pick, though I don't like the deal at all for us. I still think it favors them. Adding in Bargnani makes it awful, in my opinion. If we're going for a break it down, go young rebuild, then paying Bargs big money sucks.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of adding Bargs either.
