I never knew about Kidd's injury. Crap, right when we are winning we start losing and worse stuff start happening.

At least Carter and Marcus Williams aren't injured. That's a good thing!

I know RJ missed some games, but has Kidd missed any games?

Not yet. He might if the injury gets worse.

Kidd is a warrior! Imagine if he averages a triple double for the season on a nagging back injury!

Not everyone. A lot of players sit out games just because of a few bumps and bruises.

Kidd's Back Latest Net Ailment

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jason Kidd's circus shot that was played and replayed round the world this weekend had a downside: Kidd hurt his back making it. The Nets guard is now getting treatment so he can play Tuesday against the Raptors. As for Richard Jefferson, he has had a setback dealing with pain in his ankles and may yet require surgery. Meanwhile, Fred Kerber reports Rod Thorn has been the most active GM in trade talks and is willing to deal ANY of his players... the Chicago Tribune says Vince Carter is not being offered.</div>

Kidd Rests, Relieves Back Pain

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">After getting treatment on his stiff back yesterday, Jason Kidd said he felt much better than he did in Cleveland on Saturday night, when his back stiffened up to the point that he not only was ineffective in the fourth quarter, but was in fact detrimental to the team. He didn't score in the quarter and had two late turnovers that were key in the 96-91 loss to the Cavaliers.

"It feels 100% better than it did going into Cleveland," Kidd said. "If I played Saturday, then I'll definitely be coming out (tonight)."

If Kidd can't go, Lawrence Frank said he would start rookie Marcus Williams at point guard even though he also has the option of starting Vince Carter there. Though Williams has been inconsistent this season, Frank likes what he's seen from him lately.

Frank pointed to a win over Minnesota on Dec.30, in which Williams had seven assists, no turnovers and no points, as a sign of the rookie's growth.

"You're starting to see his truly greatest gift," said Frank. "The guy has great vision."</div>
